Bishop Smith is coming to Saint Mark’s on Sunday September 18 and will preside over confirmations, receptions and reaffirmations.
The preparation for all three is the same.
Because of the difficulty of scheduling over the summer, most of the preparation for confirmation, reception and reaffirmation will be video classes that you can do on your own time.
There will be an in-person class on Sunday, August 28 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. to pull together all of the digital classwork and have some more in-depth learning and conversation.
If you think you might be interested in confirmation, reception or reaffirmation there are two chances to hear more and ask questions. Those will be at 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 12 and Sunday, June 19. You can come to either one. This is a chance to find out more and ask questions.

We have been talking about doing Compline (close of day prayers) at the new Quarry Trails park this summer.
There are lots of different ideas of what might be involved. If you are interested in being involved in the planning of this, meet with Pastor Vicki after the 10:30 service on Sunday, June 12.

Memorial Garden Renovations
|
|
It has been about a decade since any major work was done to the Memorial Garden. During that time several of the plants have become overgrown and others have failed to thrive.
Beginning the week of June 6, there will be renovations to the Memorial Garden. Some plants will be removed, some trimmed and some new plantings will be installed.
The company doing the renovation will be especially careful of the areas where remains are interred.

As long as the COVID Community Level for Franklin County remains at low or medium levels, we will be able to have coffee hour.
The coffee hour tables will be set up in the parish hall. Weather permitting, the doors to the patio will be open and we encourage people to spill out onto the patio.
We need a few people to be bakers or treat providers for coffee hour. It isn't necessary to make treats from scratch, just to provide some cookies or other treats. If you are interested in helping out, contact Cindy Anderson at cindy.anderson@snet.net.

|
Should I wear a mask at church?
As long as Franklin County remains at low or medium community level, according to the CDC, masks are optional.
Should we return to a high community level of COVID spread, masks will be required.
You can find the community level here.
We will continue to have masks available for those who wish to use them.
