Southern Ohio is electing a Bishop on Saturday September 30. During September the adult formation group will look at the process of electing a bishop and the candidates for Southern Ohio’s next bishop.

The adult formation class meets in the parish hall from 9:30 to 10:15. The September session will take place on September 10, 17 & 24.

These sessions will be live-streamed and available to watch on the Adult Formation page of the web-site.

Please register your children and grandchildren for the 23/24 program year.

And please consider volunteering on a regular or occasional basis - We need you!

Saint Mark's Children's Formation

We are going on a field trip to the 27^th Annual Wool Gathering at Young’s Dairy in Yellow Springs, Ohio (near Dayton) on Saturday September 16.

We will meet at Saint Mark’s at 9:30 and head out to the gathering. There will be sheep, llamas, alpacas, cashmere goats and lots of other animals. 

There will be demonstrations of shearing, spinning and weaving. Plus lots of venders and, of course, the famous Young’s Dairy Ice Cream.

Admission is free, but bring money for shopping & food.

We have a funeral reception on Thursday September 21 and need some bakers to make cookies.

In June, the Youth Group will be taking a pilgrimage/mission trip to Hawaii. We will be exploring God’s presence in the natural world, and exploring Hawaiian history, learning about colonialism and reflecting on sacrifice as well as doing some service to people in need.

There will be a meeting for parents and youth interested in going on the trip on Sunday September 24 after the 10:30 a.m. service. We will have details about the trip and talk about fundraisers to help defray the cost.

Several members of Saint Mark's are singing with the Fior Angelico chorus of Early Music in Columbus.

They are presenting a concert in honor of the 400th anniversary of the great English composer, William Byrd.

The concert is today at 8 p.m. at Saint Joseph Cathedral on Broad Street in Columbus.

The Diocese of Southern Ohio is having a youth retreat for junior & senior high youth at Procter in October.

Registration for the YEDI Youth Retreat is open! This retreat is open to current 6^th - 12^th grade students. Camp check-in will be from 6-7pm on Friday, Oct 13th. Closing Eucharist will be at 10am on Sunday with check out at 11am on Oct. 15th. Our theme will be rooted in building Beloved Community as we will strive to be in God's presence loving and being loved by one another. Please consider joining us!

The General Convention of the Episcopal Church will be in Louisville, Kentucky in June.

Applications are now open to be a part of the General Convention Official Youth Presence.

Youth aged 16 - 19 can apply to be a part of the official youth presence with seat and voice at the General Convention.

Application deadline is November 17.

The nursery is staffed from 10:15 a.m. - Noon on Sunday mornings for children age 3 and under. Parents are invited to either drop off their children or to stay with them if they prefer.
