Ash Wednesday Service

Wednesday, February 14, 7pm, Sanctuary


Each year, Christians worldwide attend services on Ash Wednesday and receive the imposition of ashes. The marking of ashes in the shape of a cross on the foreheads of believers begins the forty-day journey of Lent leading to Easter.


 Nursery will be available for children 3 and under.  

Pancake Supper

Wednesday, February 14, 5:30pm, Gym


Come prepare for the Season of Lent as we indulge in a traditional meal of pancakes before our Ash Wednesday Service. We will gather for a meal of pancakes, bacon, eggs, biscuits, fruit and more!

You will be matched with other members to study, pray and serve together. We'll be using the Discipleship Journey Guide as our study tool. We'd love for you to join us on this journey of spiritual growth and fellowship.

Souper Bowl of Caring

The Saxe Gotha Youth will be collecting monetary donations for Souper Bowl of Caring on Sunday, February 11, following each Worship Service. These donations will be used locally by Mission Lexington. Give online here.

Caring Connections Brotherhood: Special Speaker - Paul Cumbers

Tuesday, February 20, Noon


Join the men of the Caring Connections Brotherhood for a special lunch with Paul Cumbers, Director of Operations for our Missions Partner, Lighthouse for Life! Lighthouse for Life's mission is to eradicate human trafficking by educating our community and empowering survivors. The Caring Connections Ladies Auxiliary will also be attending.


Lunch begins at noon. Come early to get a good seat!

WinGS Luncheon

This group of ladies shares a meal at a local restaurant every second Saturday of the month, they provide each other with vital fellowship, friendship and support, and have a lot of fun a along the way! All widows are welcome no matter the age!


Next Meeting is Saturday, February 10. We are meeting at Grecian Gardens at 11:30am. RSVP TODAY.

Nailbenders

Meet at 8:00 am (2nd Saturday of the month) at the church outdoor patio in front of the Light House and bring a sack breakfast to eat, then leave from there to assist individuals in need. Contact Chuck Neil.

Donate Glasses and Hearing Aids


The Lexington Lion’s Club is collecting old eye glasses and hearing aids. The glasses and hearing aids are used in other countries for people who cannot afford them. The collection box is located in the Church Office.

Order of Worship

available in the Traditional Services


We are offering printed Orders of Worship for members, visitors and guests during the Traditional Services. They will be available in limited quantities at both the 8:30 and 11am services. It will provide a guide through the worship service and explains some of our practices for visitors who may not have any experience with the liturgy or worship services. If you would like a copy, please visit the Welcome Desk or speak with an Usher. The Order of Worship will continue to be available online.

Christian Love is extended to Sonya Turner on the death of her stepfather, to Jane Jones on the death of her son / Lauren Biggerstaff on the death of her uncle and to the family of Dave Reynolds on his recent passing (Dave was the husband of member Wynelle Reynolds, father of member Susan Reynolds and grandfather of Samuel and Marina Reynolds. Dave is a retired Presbyterian minister).
