Moving Beyond First Impressions to Hospitality
Our covenant partners and regular attendees faithfully serve as ushers, greeters, and parking lot greeters (CREW) each week, making a positive first impression in all weather conditions. These efforts are vital to the warmth and friendliness of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church.
As a church, we strive to fulfill our mission: to build a church that God uses to restore people by leading them in a flourishing relationship with Jesus Christ. To better support this mission, we are aligning ministry teams—ushers, greeters, Book Table, Starting Point, and Connection Point—to enhance hospitality for both guests and members. Hospitality is a shared responsibility; everyone plays a role in making newcomers feel welcome.
Our usher, greeter, and CREW teams are now united as Hospitality Teams, focused not only on making a great first impression but also guiding guests to connect with other teams and find their place in our church.
If you feel called to engage in this ministry or want to learn how we can better welcome others at Saxe Gotha, please reach out to Bob Guy at rhguyjr@live.com or one of the following team leaders:
- Ushers & Greeters – Graham Gardner
- Book Table – John & Liz Carpenter
- Starting Point – Ty Thomas
- Connection Point – Barry Raines
- Congregational Hospitality – Deborah Munchmeyer
- Fellowship Ministry – Cindy Williams
