For Your Prayers

Come to the Fall Festival!

Please support this event hosted by St. Dunstan’s for the whole community; it is an important ministry of the parish! As in previous years, we will have the Blue Breeze live band playing folk and classic rock tunes; moon bounce and activities for the kids; Halloween candy; food and beverages for purchase. Please invite your family, friends, and colleagues!

Also...We still need a couple of volunteers to help set-up, staff activities, and clean-up. Please click the button below to select a one-hour or two-hour slot. For more information, contact Julie Anderson.

Saturday's event also will include a "Show and Tell Party" for St. Dunstan's rain garden. The rain garden captures stormwater that flows down the hill from the parking lot and sends it into the ground, instead of to the creek. Native plants in the garden provide valuable habitat and food for local pollinators and the native shrubs on the hill have deep roots that prevent erosion as well as benefiting the local fauna.

Join The Little Falls Watershed Alliance to tour the garden and learn how you can beautify your yard and solve some stormwater run-off problems with native plants. The Montgomery County RainScapes program will be onsite, too, with information about which native plants are best and how to get a rebate for managing stormwater on your property.

This project was made possible by a grant from the Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection. The award funding is provided through the Montgomery County Water Quality Protection Fund.

From the Anvil Society

St. Dunstan’s Anvil Society is an honor society recognizing the generosity of our parishioners past and present who have made arrangements for a Planned Gift for St. Dunstan’s. The Anvil Society’s mission is to provide a strong and vibrant future for our church. Parishioners who have made St. Dunstan’s a beneficiary of their will, insurance policy, financial account, or other planned giving program are members of the Anvil Society.

We are rechecking our records and updating them now. If you have already designated St. Dunstan’s in your estate documents, please reach out to the Rector and/or Danette (Dani) Kauffman now to share this information that you are a member of the Anvil Society. We want to ensure that we can thank you appropriately and have your name on our Anvil Society Donor Honor Roll.

If you would like more information about how you can support this vital ministry through a planned gift, contact Dani or the Rector.
