The Penn Central Conference Virtual Choir performs a traditional Orthodox Kyrie from Ukraine.
To whom much is given, much will be required. (Luke 12:48).

The strife in Ukraine has caused us to pause, to pray, and to wonder how we can help the displaced people. We worry if our donations are being used for people and not overheard? We wonder if our donations can make a difference. We feel helpless. But there is a site to help us learn where to give. What is safe.

Charity Navigator - https://www.charitynavigator.org – is a source to research trustworthy aid organization.

On the Home page of Charity Navigator, there is a site named “Ukrainian-Russia Crisis” - https://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=content.view&cpid=9366 - and on that site, we can search the kind of aid we want to give (medical, food, housing, etc.). We have choices.

No donation is too small. They add up and help to give comfort, strength, and courage.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
Julie Sherrick, secretary, will now be the Facebook contact person. To post on St. John's Facebook page, email or text photos and messages to Julie at [email protected]

Dear God,
Thank you for your love and presence in my life and in the life of the church. St. John’s is your church. We place it in your hands and seek your will to be done. Give us courage, humility, and wisdom as we listen to you and to one another.  Give us the spirit of your love in all that we do. Guide our decisions as we live out our faith and the St. John’s Mission Statement:
"We serve all of God's people by sharing the love of Christ and ministering to our community."
Amen
