-- just ignore the info about Thanksgiving.
Beginning tomorrow, we are making a change with Children’s Chapel – the children will come to church with their families and leave for chapel after the Gospel. They will return for Eucharist. This will be a permanent part of St Luke’s – helping our children to grow in knowledge about our liturgy.
There are no Sunday Schools classes this week.

TOMORROW we will gather at 10:15 a.m. for the Advent Festival. Learn the meaning of the season, make a wreath, buy a Christmas present, or learn about Chrismons! We can’t wait to share the joy of the season with you! Advent Wreath kits are $15 each.

Start off the season with this annual delight tomorrow afternoon. Worship with the St. Luke’s choir at 4 p.m. Sunday. Reception follows.

The Big Love campaign is going well! If you haven’t turned in your pledge card, we encourage you to do so quickly. Thanks!

Advent Outreach Tree  During Advent, celebrate Christ’s light in the word by making a donation to one of the ministries supported by the tree and receive a lovely ornament explaining the donation to give to your friends or family. This year’s tree benefits: TACC, Crossroads, Church of Common Ground and The Boyce L. Ansley School. We also need volunteers to staff the ornament sales table between services. If you'd like to help, contact David Clifton-Strawn ( strawn.david@gmail.com ).

TOY TAG shopping for toys EYC-style is Sunday, Dec. 8. All EYCers are invited. This is a great time of fellowship with a purpose -- to pick out and purchase toys for the kids at Emmaus House. Please contact Liz Beal Kidd (liz@stlukesatlanta.org) for more details.

Advent Reflections by Email Sign up to receive the St. Luke’s reflections in your inbox each day during Advent. Hard copies of the booklet will be distributed the first Sunday in Advent, but if you’d like to get the daily email, please go to the Sign Up tab on the church website and sign up . If you received reflections by email in Lent, you are already signed up.

CHRISTMAS FLOWER DEDICATIONS Make a contribution to the Flower Guild for the church’s Christmas arrangements in memory of or thanksgiving for the special people in your life. You can do it online from the Sign Up tab or if you prefer you can pick up a form from the Reception Desk. There is a box on the Reception Desk where you can submit your form and check, or you can mail it to the church. Dedications received by Monday, Dec. 9 will be acknowledged in the Christmas Eve worship booklets.

Act III Luncheon  Change for Elders: A Cause for Delight or Discomfort? features Ed Bacon speaking about his journey into elderhood and the great changes that are a part it. Using Cardinal Newman’s assertion “To live is to change and to be perfect is to have changed often,” as a starting point, Ed invites us to join him in considering change - personal, inter-personal and cultural - as we age and how it impacts our theology. While Ed will begin with his own story, there will be ample time for discussion and conversation about how this affects all of us. Join us at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 5 for lunch and Ed's program.  RSVP online or by phone 404-873-7777 by Dec. 1. Cost: $8 per person. All are welcome, so invite friends!
