Penny Wars Results
PENNY WARS RESULTS: We raised a total of $1,184 in our Penny Wars fundraiser. The tallies are in, and the "winners" of the Penny Wars competition are John Lueders in the youth category, and Pastor Stuart in the Pastors' contest! Both will have the privilege of being doused by a bucket of ice water! In addition, because we raised more than $1,000, Craig Miller will ALSO be getting cold and damp! Stay tuned for details on when the ice water dumps will happen. Thank you to everyone who contributed toward this fun competition, and supported our youth ministry!

Fundraiser for the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR)
For the second year in a row, I am running the Broad Street 10-miler to raise cancer for the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). My mother, a leukemia survivor who is 12 years post stem cell transplant, is also running the race for the 8th time since her transplant! I would greatly appreciate any donations from my St Paul’s family; these funds don’t just find ways to beat cancer, they also improve the quality of life for cancer patients while undergoing treatment. Please use this link to donate and learn more about my mom’s cancer journey. You can also email me at rachael.e.fernandez@gmail.com with any questions.
Donations can be made up to the day of the race, which is Sunday, 5/3. Thank you!

Musical Notes From Lindsay
April 26 - What to Listen For!
Our 1 Peter reading on this day explains that as Christians we are called to do good, even when pain is experienced as a result: To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
8 am Traditional
Gathering Hymn: Savior, Like A Shepherd Lead Us
This hymn text professes our belonging to Christ (You have bought us, we are yours) as well as our devotion to turn to him for guidance in our actions (let us turn to you...let us seek your favor...let us do your will).
Sending Hymn: Praise the Lord, Rise Up Rejoicing
Several themes from our gathering hymn reappear as we are sent into the world with strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow. Once again, we express our desire to follow Christ (ears attentive to your word) and a promise to be faithful in our observance of His will (may we faithful followers be).
10am Contemporary
Prelude: Holy Spirit, You Are Welcome Here was performed by the praise team band for Bring A Friend Sunday in February. We will perform this selection again for you, as it will RE-appear next week as one of our communion songs.
Choral Anthem: The choir will bless us with a choral arrangement of Blessings by Laura Story. The lyrics call us to contemplate the possibility that through pain and difficult times, we receive God's love and mercy.
