Fall Family Fun Night

We’re having another great night of free fun, food and games for all ages on Saturday, October 18 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. You’re encouraged to come in costume and our youth are offering a special Candy World Fun Maze, age appropriate for young kids. To

make this a great success we would ask for three things:

  • Advertise the Facebook Event to your personal page and forward it to friends, family and neighbors! Make a personal invitation to them as a great way to introduce them to St. Paul's!
  • Sign up here to help out in some way or make a donation of supplies.
  • Plan on attending yourself...sign up here so we know how many are coming!

New Members Classes

If you’ve been attending St. Paul’s, we would love to welcome you as a new member this fall! We’ll hold weekly classes starting Sunday, October 26 from 7-8 pm for four weeks as an opportunity to grow in faith, learn more about St. Paul’s and build friendships with others who are also joining. Child care will be provided. If you would like to attend or have any questions, please feel free to email PastorStuart@StPaulsLionville.org or call 610-804-1740.

Pop Up Thrift Store News

Our September thrift store was a huge success, raising over $4,800 for local charitable organizations and repairs to the parsonage. Thank you to everyone who made it a success - organizers, sellers, promotors, and shoppers! The next pop-up thrift store will be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 11 and 12 from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm in the parsonage. Donations, especially of home decor items, are welcome and may be left in the airlock between the two sets of double doors at the front of the church.

Rise Against Hunger Meal Packaging Event

St. Matthew's and St. Paul’s are hosting a Rise Against Hunger meal packaging event on Sunday, October 19. According to our liaisons at Rise Against Hunger, our packaging event is the second largest community event in our region. Last year, over 360 volunteers came together to package more than 60,000 meals that we purchased. We have purchased and packaged more than 150,000 meals over the past 3 years!

Volunteers will be able to sign up for a 2-hour shift. By raising funds and working a shift, we will buy and pack around 20,000 meals to fight hunger around the world. It's a great family event! If you would like to make a donation towards this event or assist in packaging this impressive number of meals, please sign up here.

Chat and Chews Book Club

The Chat and Chews Sunday School Book Club meets on the THIRD Sunday of each month, after the late service in the Lounge next to the Hospitality Room. Our next meeting will be on Sunday, October 19, and we will discuss James, by Percival Everett. You do not have to finish the book or even read it to join us in a lively and faithful discussion. Please contact Gwen Werner or call the church office for more information.

Rare Birds (ages 50+) Lunch

On Tuesday, October 14 at 12:00 noon, the rare birds will gather in the Fellowship Hall for their Fall Lunch and Decoration Making. If you plan to attend please RSVP to Karen Lammey by Tuesday, October 7.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

Please join us in helping local families in need this Thanksgiving. We will be collecting food for 350 food boxes for the Honey Brook Food Pantry and 50 boxes for Care Center. There are 2 ways you can help.

If you are interested in shopping and purchasing food directly, please consider signing up to supply a full meal for the Care Center. Click here to see the list of items. Items due by November 16.

Don't like to shop or would prefer to provide a monetary donation, please help us with the Honey Brook Food Pantry collection. Due to the large number of items needed, we will be purchasing items in bulk. Your monetary donation will help us buy things like cases of green beans, flats of stuffing, etc. We estimate it will cost $15 for each food box for Honey Brook.

Also, please consider donating leftover Halloween candy to add a special treat to the boxes. Donations can be left on the sign up table in the narthex.

Stay tuned for more information on the food box packing event. We will need many helpers!

Sign up here to contribute to the drive.

Thank you!

Honey Sunday is Coming!

On Sunday, November 2, our youth will have a table outside of the sanctuary after worship to take honey orders and accept donations. This honey is produced by the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch organization, which provides residential, educational, and support services for at-risk youth and their families in North Dakota. Proceeds benefit this organization, as well as our own St. Paul's/St. Matthew's youth ministry. Enjoy some sweetness while you support two good causes!

Coffee Fellowship Help Needed

Only a few spots on our coffee fellowship sign up are filled. Help us keep the coffee and conversation flowing by signing up to make coffee and provide some goodies to share. It's a great way to serve our community with your family, friends, or church group. You can sign up in the narthex or online. Thank you!

  • YOUTH MOVIE NIGHT AT ST. MATTHEW'S! Come from 5:00 to 7:30 pm for food and movie fun for all sixth through twelfth graders. Even if you can't help with Good Works or the Trunk or Treat, you're still welcome to come. No signup needed; just bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Cradles to Crayons is in need of gently used clothing and shoes for babies through teens. Donated items cannot have school names (such as Lionville Elementary, East High School, etc). They are always in need of NEW packages of underwear and socks for kids and teens.

In conjunction with kids' clothes, we are also collecting new and/or gently used coats for all ages to donate to Honey Brook Food Pantry for fall distribution.

Donation boxes for both collections will be placed in the airlocks. Our donation period will run until Saturday, November 1.

Thank you for your support of these local charities!
