The Lenten Gospel of Matthew Worship Series
Last year, during Lent, we focused on the Gospel of Mark and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive and many folks asked that we continue with another Gospel. The next logical Gospel is Matthew which we will focus on this Lent. This is one of the best ways to grow in faith, reading the Bible and especially one of the Gospels! These accounts of Jesus’ life help us understand his ministry, miracles, teaching and ultimately the sacrifice of Jesus and his resurrection. This year in Lent (March 5-April 20, 2025) we will have the daily opportunity to read, or listen to the Gospel of Matthew. Additionally, the worship services in Lent will focus on what we have read. For the Wednesday evening Lenten services, we’ll be watching a movie version of The Gospel of Matthew, word for word from the Bible with actors on location acting out the text. Lastly, there will be small groups which will meet each week for Bible study on the sections of the daily Matthew readings. To sign up for daily texts or emails with the readings and an audio version or to express interest in a Bible study, please go to StPaulsLionville.org/events.
We especially need people who are willing to host a Bible study, either in-person or online. If you would like to learn more about this, please contact PastorStuart@StPaulsLionville.org or call 610-804-1740. We hope this series will be a blessing to you!

Personal Care Kits Assembly and Notes
We will be assembling personal care kits for the homeless after the late service on Sunday, March 23. Please join us downstairs at church to lend a hand. In addition, please stop by the table in the narthex to write a note to be included in the care kits. A personal message of care and support goes a long way!

Easter "Air-Lock" Door Greeters
Last year for Easter Sunday we restarted the practice of placing additional greeters outside of both “air-lock” entrances at both services. The Worship & Music Planning Team received a very favorable responses to this action last year and would like to continue it this year. This is an excellent “one-time” opportunity for a husband-and-wife (including children) team planning to attend one of the two services. To aid you in performing this responsibility, a simple written description will be provided. Please contact John Peiffer (610-363-9535 or
extonpeiffers@gmail.com) if you have any questions or would like to volunteer for one of the services.

Easter Food Drive
Please consider donating food or monetarily to St. Paul's Easter Food Drive. Food boxes go to local families in need. The primary recipients are families supported by the Care Center in West Chester. Food donations should be dropped off at St. Paul's by Sunday, April 6. Monetary donations can also be dropped off at church. Checks should be made to St. Paul's with a comment about going to the Food Drive. Click here to see a list of items for a complete food box or to sign up to donate.

Penny Wars Are Back!
What are penny wars? We are competing with St. Matthew's to see who can score the most points as we raise money for our shared youth ministry. Two jars will be in the gathering area; one for pennies and paper money (which are counted positively toward St. Paul's total) and one for silver coins (which are counted NEGATIVELY toward St. MATTHEW'S total). Points are determined by the value of the coin or bill (pennies are one point, dollar bills are 100, dimes are -10 points for the other congregation, etc.). When the money is counted after Easter Sunday, the pastor of the losing congregation will be involved in a "special" presentation, and it WILL be memorable! AND, if we raise a combined $1,000 or more between the two congregations, our Youth Director Craig Miller will ALSO be involved in the event!
