Update on Space Usage
Hi St. Paul’s,
Earlier this year, church council sent a survey to all the committees and teams about their space needs at the Church. We have spent a good bit of time reviewing those responses and figuring out how to best utilize the church facilities.
You'll likely start seeing some of the changes taking place in August to get ready for church activities that resume in the Fall. Some changes may take a bit longer to implement. Here is a summary of several of the changes you will soon start to see.
- Craig Miller will be relocating his office from the 2nd floor to either Pastor Mark's old office or to the first floor library (did you know we had a library? I didn't).
-
Craig's current office will become a classroom / meeting room.
- The large pre-school area will be utilized by Sunday school and the crafters/quilters. It will also be available for general use.
- Room 102 will be used by the older Sunday school class on Sunday mornings. This class had previously met in the Fellowship Hall.
- Classroom 207 (the large one with the windows that had been used by the pre-school) will be used as a large meeting room and for adult faith formation on Sunday mornings.
- The choir room will be converted into a youth room with sofas, love seats and chairs. The room will be used for confirmation on Sunday mornings and by our youth groups.
- Classroom 204 (the long narrow one across from Lyndsey's office) will become the new music storage room. Thank you, Lyndsey for being very flexible!
- Social Ministry is going to be using the first floor of the parsonage for a new idea they have. I won't spoil their surprise / announcement. They'll be sharing the space with the Amigos and property team.

If you have any questions, please feel free to talk to Pastor Stuart or me.
Peace,
Kyle Wiest
Council President

Be Part of a New Family Opportunity
We are creating a new "Family Ministry Team" to plan events for, and consider ways to help and support, our younger families (elementary age and below) at St. Paul's and St. Matthew's. This team will meet on a regular basis, either monthly or every other month, to brainstorm and identify opportunities to more deeply engage younger families. If you are interested in being part of this team, please contact Craig Miller at craigyouthmin@gmail.com.

Vision Process Display and Update
You will notice a new display as you head toward the curved stairs off the narthex to the second floor. The display visually represents the work of the Visioning Process last year and also has the updated status of the 70+ ideas that were generated by the congregation. Take a look every so often and celebrate what God is doing in our midst...and what tasks and ministries are yet to be accomplished!

Coffee Fellowship
Do you enjoy having a cup of coffee and a snack while visiting after services? Everyone does! Please sign up to lend a hand and provide Sunday morning fellowship snacks and prepare coffee. Get together with friends, family, or your church group and have some fun! Sign up in the narthex or online at StPaulsLionville.org/events.

Outdoor Service
On Sunday, August 25, we will celebrate a wonderful outdoor service (weather permitting) at 9:30 am. This is always such a delightful event that it would be a great opportunity to invite a friend, neighbor or family member to worship that day! After the service we will get to enjoy an ice cream celebration! Hawaiian shirts encouraged!
Please note that for those who regularly watch our livestream, due to the complications of offering the livestream outdoors, only the pre-recorded sermon will be offered that morning.
