Sunday School Registration

One of the most enduring and important gifts you can give a child is faith. To know that you are loved and special to God, so much so that Jesus died and rose from the dead for you, is the basic foundation of our faith. For most children, this faith grows through a Christian Education program like Sunday School!

Last year we had a fantastic Sunday School year and we're looking forward to this year being even better! You can learn more about the program and see this year's calendar at StPaulsLionville.org/sundayschool. We would ask everyone to register so the teachers can be well prepared and so we know about any special needs or allergies. You can register online here or there are also paper copies available in the narthex. This could be for your children, grandchildren or any family members or friends who would like to attend!

We want this gift of faith for every child we can bless! Filling out the registration form will help us be well prepared for the fall classrooms, so please do so as soon as possible. (Ages are potty trained through fifth grade.) If you have any questions, feel free to contact PastorStuart@StPaulsLionville.org or 610-804-1740 or our Sunday School Coordinator, Ginny Graham at vgg333@aol.com or or (610) 329-7437.

LWR School Bags

St. Paul's will be assembling 400 school bags for Lutheran World Relief (LWR). LWR Kits are specifically designed to help people coping with poverty, disaster, conflict and more. School bag kits help keep education going during a crisis. The kits provide dignity and hope in the direst situations and are sent globally. Please consider donating new items only to help us fill our bags. Click here to sign up to donate. Please return to St. Paul's Lutheran Church by Monday, September 1.

Thrift Store Donations

The thrift store is on hiatus for the summer, but we'll be back in the fall and are still accepting donations throughout the summer. Please leave items in the airlock at the entrance to the church. Home decor items are particularly popular with shoppers, but we appreciate all donations.

Help Support Lutheran Disaster Response to Texas Floods

The news about the catastrophic flash floods in South Central Texas has been devastating. Our hearts break as we hear of the damage, loss of life, and ongoing search for survivors.

Lutheran Disaster Response is always "first in and first out" supporting those in need, and they are prepared to assist area residents as the floodwaters recede and rebuilding begins, providing emotional and spiritual care and supporting cleanup and long-term recovery.

Please click here if you are able to make a donation to help Lutheran Disaster Response in their efforts and keep all those affected in your prayers. Please make donations directly to Lutheran Disaster Response (not to St. Paul’s). Thank you.

Brickside Dining for Living Love Lunches

We are partnering with Brickside Grille (in Eagleview) to raise funds for Living Love Lunches. Once a month, Brickside will return 15% of your purchase to St. Paul’s for Living Love Lunch supplies. This now applies to any purchases throughout the day, including brunch, lunch, or dinner. Our designated Sunday is the first one of the month. Our next date will be Sunday, August 3. Please remember that you must bring a paper flyer (available in the narthex) or show it on your phone (available at StPaulsLionville.org/events) in order for a donation to be made.

Director of Music Update

Our Director of Music Discerning Team has started to advertise this open position as we search for the right person. We will not be interviewing till the fall, once the music program is fully underway. If you or anyone you know is interested, please direct them to StPaulsLionville.org/careers! We are also very blessed and thankful to Brian Lloyd for serving as our Interim Director of Music to keep our music program on track while we are in the search process!

Rise Against Hunger Meal Packaging Event

St. Matthew's and St. Paul’s are hosting a Rise Against Hunger meal packaging event on Sunday, October 19. According to our liaisons at Rise Against Hunger, our packaging event is the second largest community event in our region. Last year, over 360 volunteers came together to package more than 60,000 meals that we purchased. We have purchased and packaged more than 150,000 meals over the past 3 years!

While we will kick off planning for the 2025 event around Labor Day, we need 3-4 people to help send emails to local businesses and groups to find co-sponsors for the event (seeking financial contributions and also groups of people interested in packaging meals). We also need help in applying for grants from local grocery stores, insurance companies and banks. We have all of the form emails and attachments to easily copy and paste to assist in this task, and the involvement is on your own time and schedule. Many hands make light work! We appreciate any assistance in combatting food insecurity.

Please contact Troy Sisum at (610) 724-7357 or tdsisum1@yahoo.com if you are available to help. He will coordinate with interested individuals to help get started.

Crafters Meetings

The Crafters normally meet in the downstairs area of the church on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 am. Meetings will be suspended for the month of August, and regular sessions will resume on Wednesday, September 3. Everyone is welcome!

Coffee Fellowship Help

Do you enjoy having a cup of coffee and a snack while visiting after services? Everyone does! Please sign up to lend a hand and provide Sunday morning fellowship snacks and prepare coffee. Get together with friends, family, or your church group and have some fun! Sign up in the narthex or online at StPaulsLionville.org/events.
