"Grow in Faith, Serve with Love, Invite into Fellowship"

Second Sunday after Pentecost

9:30 am - Combined Service

Everyone is welcome!

Attend in person or worship online

Our Prayer List

We pray for John, Cassie, Julie, Dave, Lucy, Janet, Amy C., Ruth, Sid, Joanna, Bill H., Bill T., Sandy L., Amy D., Joy, Pat, Marlene, Nancy, Garnet, Chip, Sandy F., Alice, Jean, and Mark. We lift up Daniel, Zach, Alistar, Chris, and Adam in the military.

Outdoor Service and Picnic

On Sunday, June 2, we will celebrate a wonderful outdoor service (weather permitting) at 9:30 am followed by a great afternoon of food and fellowship. The church will provide hotdogs, hamburgers, and veggie burgers. To sign up to contribute to the meal and RSVP, click here or go to StPaulsLionville.org/events. If your family likes to play outdoor games, bring your favorite one along. This is always such a delightful event that it would be a great opportunity to invite a friend, neighbor or family member to worship that day!

Please note that for those who regularly watch our livestream, due to the complications of offering the livestream outdoors, only the pre-recorded sermon will be offered that morning.

Graduate Celebration June 2

On Sunday, June 2 at the 9:30 am outdoor service, we will celebrate our high school graduates. I hope you can attend as we celebrate their achievements and offer them faith gifts to bless them as they move to new ventures in their lives!

Personal Care Kits for Lutheran World Relief

Throughout the year we’ve been collecting items to assemble Personal Care Kits for Lutheran World Relief. Each kit contains a towel, bar of soap, a toothbrush, a comb and nail clippers and are distributed at refugee camps for self-care and critical germ fighting. We will be assembling these kits on Saturday, June 1, at 10 am. If you’d like to lend a hand, please join us.

Thank You for Supporting our Twin Valley Coffee and Freddy's Fundraisers

We raised over $500 for our St. Paul's/St. Matthew's youth ministry thanks to your generosity, which adds to our total of over $6,000 dollars raised! Our fundraising is winding down for summer as we get ready to head off to Clay County, West Virginia in June for our Appalachia Service Project work week, and then travel to New Orleans in July for the ELCA Youth Gathering. We will have a special "Thank You" event in the fall; watch for details!

Coffee Fellowship

July and August sign ups are now available! Team up with friends, family, or your church group to provide snacks and prepare coffee on Sunday mornings. Sign up in the narthex or online at StPaulsLionville.org/events.

Crafters Schedule Changes

The Crafters will not be meeting on July 3. Beginning Wednesday, June 5 we will meet in the Picnic Grove (weather permitting) at 11am for lunch and various projects.

Thank You from the Preschool!

A special and heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the preschool’s 30th and final graduation a wonderful evening. From the parents to the kids to the staff to the board to the alumni teachers and kids, we appreciate all of you. Although bittersweet, St Paul’s Preschool has been a blessing to so many children (nearly 1,000) and families. We are grateful for every single day!

The quilters are in need of flat sheets for the back of the quilts. If you have flat sheets you are not using, please place them in the bin in the hallway marked Quilts.

Please give the $30 per person fee to Karen Lammey in cash or check on the day of the event or with Venmo (Karen-Lammey). We need a correct count for this event, so please RSVP to Karen by Monday, June 3. Hope you are able to join us on the farm.

Peanut Butter &

Jelly Drive

Peanut butter and jelly is needed by the Chester County Food Bank. During the school year, low-income students receive free or reduced lunches at school. However, over the summer, they lose this option. The Chester County Food Bank steps in to fill this gap by providing students with the ingredients to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Please consider donating a plastic container of peanut butter or jelly. Bins will be in the narthex through Sunday, June 2.

Attention All Adults Who Work with Youth,

or Want to Do So

Under our congregation's Youth Protection Policy, everyone 18 and older who is involved in a direct, supervisory relationship with our youth and children must have completed background checks and YPP training within the past five years. Craig Miller has one remaining upcoming opportunity for you to be trained in our congregation's Youth Protection Policy (again, training which is required by the policy). It will be held on Sunday, June 2 from 10:45 to 11:45 am at St. Matthew's.

If you need help obtaining clearances and/or need to complete YPP training, please go to this link to sign up so that Craig can plan accordingly.

Serve with Love

A “Serve with Love" survey will be inserted into bulletins in June and available in the narthex, or you can click here to submit the survey online. Submitting this survey notifies the office if you would like to start volunteering, volunteer in another capacity, or step back from volunteering. If you serve Sunday mornings and will be away in September, October, or November, you can avoid being scheduled by emailing those dates to Maureen at Maureen@StPaulsLionville.org. Visit StPaulsLionville.org/volunteers for the most up-to-date volunteer schedule. Thank you so much for serving!

Rejoicing Spirits Service June 9

The next Rejoicing Spirits service at St. Paul's will be Sunday, June 9 at 4:00 pm. Rejoicing Spirits offers an uplifting and inclusive worship service that features joyous singing, Bible readings by those it serves, individual prayers, interactive participation, and a brief, meaningful message - all in a “no-shushing” environment. Worshippers are encouraged to be themselves!
