Our Weekly Blast!
The Fourth Sunday in Lent
March 20, 2020
COVID-19 Cancellations
In response to COVID-19 and guidance from the Diocese of Texas, services are cancelled for March 15 and 22. We will monitor the situation and follow diocesan guidance for future services.

Church office hours have been reduced to 10:00 - 4:00. Please feel free to drop by the church for individual prayer in the nave.

Most regular church activities are cancelled during this time.
Live Stream Sunday Worship
Although we are not able to worship in person right now, there are a number of opportunities on-line to live stream worship services. We would especially direct you to the live stream for the Washington National Cathedral. These services are available on their YouTube channel.

Lent Madness 2020
Our 32 saintly contenders for The Golden Halo have run their race and winners have emerged. In a time of much uncertainty, I embrace this opportunity and this time to read and reflect more deeply the lives of these builders and keepers of the faith.  Remember, you may access Lent Madness online at lentmadness.org, and there subscribe for emails delivered to your inbox for each day’s match. It’s been a blessing to me that each morning at 7:01 am my phone dings with my Lent Madness email as a reminder to vote.

Keeping the faith with you across my prayerful bandwidth,
Food Basket - Open for Business
The Food Basket is open and providing food to those in the community who suffer from food insecurity. In response to the COVID-19 social distancing, they have converted to a drive-through model.
How to Help
The Food Basket continues to need your donations of shelf stable food items, feminine hygiene products (pads) and baby items. Please drop them by the baskets at the church.

Volunteer opportunities are:
  • Help pack boxes on Friday or Monday, 9-noon. No more than 1-3 to come in and pack up the boxes, prepare the produce, dairy, eggs, and bread. We are going to this do in 1 hour shifts. We already have 2 people for Friday @ 9 a.m.
  • Help distribute food on Saturday or Tuesday, 8 - 10 AM.

If you are ill or in an at-risk group, please stay away.

Contact Sondra Griner or reach out to the Food Basket directly to volunteer or ask questions.
St. Timothy’s Workday
Our Workday scheduled for March 28th will be rescheduled at a future time. At this time, I have been and will continue to be at the church checking on the building and grounds. If you are able, please take the opportunity to visit the Labyrinth and the outside chapel within the recommendations for social distancing. If you are part of a grounds care group or you work with any flower beds, continue to check on those areas. If you have any questions, please contact me. Many thanks for your care of our grounds and landscaping at St. Timothy’s.
