Help for the Technology-Challenged
Unsure how to view our Facebook Live prayer services? Struggling to watch the Sunday video? Want to join Coffee Hour or Breathe & Be Better, but need help with Zoom? Or, do you know a parishioner who is struggling to connect?

Our Pastoral Care Technology Team is here to help. Just call the office during the week, and we'll connect you with one of our knowledgeable and patient volunteers.
Sing With Us!
Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before His presence with singing.
Ps. 100: 1-2
St. Timothy's invites anyone who loves to sing to join our virtual hymn crew! You don't need to be a member of the choir (or even a member of the church) to participate in our musical worship opportunities. Best of all, it's easy to do! The only supplies you will need are a computer, a smartphone, a pair of headphones, and a willing spirit. Reach out to music director Ben May to get started.

5:00-7:00 PM Food Drive
Drive-up in the parking lot

5:00-7:00 PM Personal Prayer at Church
Timothy's Troop
This week we learned about Gideon and how he conquered huge armies with just 300 men using horns, clay jars, and torches. Next week we will learn about Samson. We enjoyed a game of "What's Missing?". Join us on Zoom at 10:00.
Food Drive, August 2, 5-7 PM
It's summer, and what is more comforting when it's hot than a nice cool Jell-o with fruit? Let's help our community with a food drive focused on:
  • Fruit cocktail or other canned fruit
  • Jell-o or store brand gelatin

Other high priority needs for the Food Basket are:
  • Dried pinto beans in 1 pound bags
  • Healthy cereal in standard sized boxes.

Stop by the church parking lot on Sunday August 2 between 5 and 7 PM to drop off your donations. All volunteers will be wearing masks and keeping their distance. If you prefer, you can donate money, and we'll shop on your behalf. You can also drop off your donations during church office hours to the buckets in the hallway.
Silent Prayer in the Church
August 2, 5-7 PM
This Sunday, you are invited to drop off your food drive items, and then stop in for silent prayer.

Let's stay healthy together: masks are required, seating is assigned to maximize social distancing, and everyone is encouraged to keep their visit under 30 minutes. Prayer books have been removed during this time, so you may wish to bring your own devotional materials.
The Week Ahead
The Brotherhood of St Andrew approved grants of $750 each to support the Food Basket and to support a Ugandan nursing student.

With approval from the Vestry, the Brotherhood invites the members of St. Timothy’s to contribute a matching gift during the month of August. Donations will be received through August 31st. You may write your check to St. Timothy's and note your intention in the memo line. Alternatively, you may write a check directly to the organizations(s).

The Food Basket often needs to buy specific things to fill gaps in donations and Houston Food Bank supplies. Our monetary donation will allow them to target needs at any given time. The nursing scholarship through the Kellerman Foundation costs $1500 per year, and the Brotherhood is giving a half scholarship.

Join The Brotherhood in supporting either of these great efforts. If you have any questions, please contact Jim Cutshall.
Breathe & Be Better
Please join us each Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. on Zoom for Breathe & Be Better. Cheryl will be teaching deep breathing, relaxed stretching, slow flowing movements and meditation. The class is open to everyone of all ages, at any fitness level and can be done standing or sitting down.
