| | God can use anyone... Do you love Him? | | St. Timothy’s 101: An Introduction to our Faith, History and Church | |
In preparation for Confirmation on Sunday, May 25, we are meeting on the 11th and 18th after services. While you may not be able to make all the classes, we want you to be confirmed. As such, we are sharing the information here with you.
As Episcopalians, we believe each person’s story is sacred and a part of God’s bigger story. All our stories are interconnected. We begin with our story and God’s story. God’s story informs our story and helps us make meaning and become more of who we are made to be.
Stories profoundly shape our lives by influencing how we understand the world, interpret events, and build relationships. They provide a framework for meaning-making, help us connect with others, and even affect our mental health and sense of identity.
Session 1: Our Stories
Your story is important to us. I look forward to an opportunity to hear it from you. You may set an appointment with Pastor Robin at 832-922-7022.
| | Spoiler for Session 2 This Week On God’s Story through Scripture | |
If you are interested in confirmation, you may fill out a form located in the hallway of the church or contact Pastor Robin at the number above.

The Bishop is Coming on May 25
The Rt. Rev. C. Andrew Doyle, The Ninth Bishop of Texas
Bishop Doyle’s 6-word autobiography is “Met Jesus on Pilgrimage, still walking.”
Charles Andrew “Andy” Doyle was elected bishop coadjutor of the Diocese of Texas on May 24, 2008 and was consecrated on November 22, 2008.
Bishop Doyle has training and expertise in mediation as well as multicultural ministry. He led the Diocese in Unity in Mission which united the churches across theological difference for the purposes of mission.
Bishop Doyle led the Diocese to create a 13-million-dollar Racial Justice Initiative to heal the wounds of the past and create energy for the work of the present and future. Diversity in clergy leadership has grown exponentially during his time as bishop with bi-vocational priests, deacons, lay preachers and evangelists.
Under his leadership, the Diocese has created 2 new foundations in the Diocese, led in the planting of 18 new communities, 15 college missions, and 90 missional communities. Bishop Doyle initiated a vision based financial organization and unity of investments.
He has guided the Diocese through multiple hurricanes (including Ike and Harvey), fires, and tornados. In the wider church he is a coach for bishops and clergy. He is deeply involved in the wider Anglican Communion and guides the Diocese in supporting leaders around the world.
He wrote a substitution resolution for A068 at The Episcopal Church General Convention of 2018 and negotiated its unanimous passage thereby memorializing the 1979 Book of Common Prayer, making room for a new strategic way of undertaking liturgical renewal, and requiring the church to undertake dynamic translation of liturgies into English and French.
Bishop Doyle has led the diocese in strengthening ties across the Anglican Communion by serving as President of the Compass Rose society; and continues to support both the Archbishop of Canterbury’s ministry and that of the wider Communion. He also led the diocese in mending the relations with the wider Episcopal Church including having led the diocese in hosting General Convention in Austin in 2018.
He regularly uses Twitter and Facebook to have conversations with church members and those looking for a church home.
Recognized for his contributions as steward, leadership in congregational mission, service to the wider church, and authorship he has received Doctors Divinity from the University of the South, Virginia Theological Seminary, and Seminary of the Southwest.
He is the author of may books, including: Unity in Mission, 2011; Unabashedly Episcopalian, 2012, (available in both English and Spanish); Church: A Generous Community Amplified for the Future, 2015; A Generous Community: Being Church in a New Missionary Age, 2015; The Jesus Heist: Reclaiming The Gospel from the Church, 2017; Small Batch: Local, Organic, and Sustainable Church, 2016; Vocātiō: Imaging a Visible Church, 2018; Citizen: Faithful Discipleship in a Partisan World, 2020; and Embodied Liturgy: Virtual Reality and Liturgical Theology in Conversation, 2021.
Bishop Doyle is married to JoAnne Doyle and they have two daughters.
He is a vinyl record collector, reader, artist, fly fisherman, and is learning the banjo. He enjoys Formula 1 racing and is a Liverpool football fan.
