Volunteers Needed
LJI Trunk or Treat
Oct. 31 6-8PM
LJI Principal, Cheryl Roberts, has invited us, Covenant Presbyterian and Cornerstone church to partner with them on putting on a trunk or treat on Halloween night from 6-8 pm for their students.
The city has asked it to be a drive-through Trunk or Treat to help manage traffic. They are looking for 35 people from the community willing to decorate their cars and/or hand out candy. This means we might have 1 or 2 cars decorated and more people there to greet families in their cars, hand out candy, and pray Blessings of Peace over all who come through the line.
If you are interested in showing our kids and their families some love, please let Jackie know what you are willing to do.
| |
|
Pray for our Schools
At the end of our meeting, when I asked Principal Cheryl Roberts if there were one thing we could pray for you all what would it be? She said, peace and calm.
Your prayers were answered the first week of school was the calmest it has ever been. Last year 25 kids had already been sent to detention and 9 kids to Lighthouse. This year no one was sent to detention and only 4 were sent to Lighthouse! She said everyone was commenting on the calm.
I asked if they would put in their newsletter, for everyone to pray for God to grant His peace, love, and protection be with the students, teachers, administrators, and all involved at school and their families in Jesus’ name. A resounding, “Yes!” was her response.
Please encourage your Christian friends to do the same when they pass by LJI or any school. Our prayers united are making a big difference! Pray for our kids' mental health as well! In Jesus name! Amen.

Opportunities To Get In The Game | |
Luke 10 Transformation Course
Luke 10 - T course equips everyday Christians to fulfill The Great Commission:
Therefore GO and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you, and surely I am with you always, even to the very end of the age. Mathew 28:19-20
It also helps us to live into St. Timothy's mission: Empowered by the Holy Spirit we experience God's love and share it, by helping us cooperate with the Holy Spirit's guidance more and more.

St. Timothy's Team Shirt
Order by October 6
The t-shirt ordering process has changed. The online store is still available, but is significantly more expensive than if we do a group order. So we ask you to sign up on the sheets outside the Welcome Center and put a check to St. Timothy’s inside the envelope.
Shirts are a cotton/poly blend. There are sample sizes for you to try on and two colors to choose from: Royal Blue or Sky Blue.
We will be doing a bulk order on Monday, October 7. Have your order in by Sunday, October 6. We will not place any orders without payment first.
Men and Women’s Mesh Polo Shirts are $25 including the logo. Add $2 more for 2XL and $3 more for 3XL. If you order a Men’s Tall, the shirts are $44 and are a slightly different design, with a cuffed sleeve.
Make checks to St. Timothy’s and put in the envelope by the shirt order.
If you have any questions ask Pastor Robin or Jackie. If you are willing to volunteer to help with this process, please contact Pastor Robin.

Want to go above and beyond? The top general food needs are:
- Canned Spaghetti sauce (plastic jars or cans)
- Canned Pasta with Meat - 14-16 oz.

We hope to learn and grow in the knowledge and experience of God’s love and how we can be respond and share this love with all that we have both inside and outside the church.

Join us on October 6th for a kick off luncheon where we will have an opportunity to all share
how we’ve experienced God’s love and shared it as a parish and as individuals.

Kairos #31 Prison Ministry Prayer Chain
This KAIROS WEEKEND is a prison ministry similar to Cursillo or Walk to Emmaus in the free world. It is life changing for the participants and for the volunteers.
Please pray this prayer from the Book of Common Prayer(BCP) pg. 826 for our team and prisoners.
Lord Jesus, for our sake you were condemned as a criminal: Be with the Kairos team as they prepare and visit the Clemens Unit. Make ready their hearts and the hearts of the prisoners. We remember all prisoners and bring the guilty to repentance and amendment of life according to your will, and give them hope for their future. When any are held unjustly, bring them release; forgive us, and teach us to improve our justice. Remember those who work in these institutions; keep them humane and compassionate; and save them from becoming brutal or callous. And since what we do for those in prison, O Lord, we do for you, constrain us to improve their lot. All this we ask for your mercy’s sake. Amen.
We are looking for Prayer Warriors to pray for our Kairos #31 weekend. It will be held on October 3rd through the 6th.
We have other churches in the area doing the same. We will present the chain on the second day of the four-day weekend.
GOD BLESS,
Jim Cutshall, Steve Freemen, Rich Tillman, Ron Weeks, Chris Wilson

Remembering the past, giving thanks and blessing the space and all touched by our kids ministry!
Last Sunday, a number of members meet and blessed the children’s wing ministries for the past, present and future ministries. We honored those who have given of their time, talent and treasure. We heard stories many of us didn’t know about the thousands of children who have come through our programs here and taught about the love of Jesus. Then we blessed the spaces and asked God to give us His vision for these spaces for now and in the future.
Already, some of the rooms are in the process of being freshened up with paint and a more modern look. All this is part of offering hospitality to the families God is sending us. More and more new families are coming each week! Glory to God!
For it is in remembering, giving thanks and blessing we can grow in experiencing Jesus love and share it!
