A Word from our Rector

God is Making All Things New!

The Hope we find in Jesus Christ’s life, death and resurrection is brought to the forefront with Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Easter Services. We re-enter into the stories of our faith once again or maybe for the first time to reveal who God is. We have the opportunity to discover a deeper connection between our suffering and God’s suffering, our grief and God’s grief. Ultimately we have an opportunity to discover God’s all encompassing love in Jesus Christ.

Jesus enters into our messy, painful worlds. When welcomed he can and will transform hopeless situations and emotions bringing hope and new beginnings.

“He is making all things new…”

That is surely true at St. Timothy’s! From new Air Conditioners for the Sanctuary, to new faith in two little girl’s hearts, to new revelations and the comfort we are not alone in our grief, trials and tribulations! Praise be to God for His grace-gift of Jesus Christ!

I hope you will enter into the stories of our faith once again this Sunday to next. Together we are richer and so very blessed! 🥰

Thank you to our donors, Steve Freemen and Mark Lehnhoff for your tenacious work with replacing the a/c and electrical issues. Thank you to the Arm and Altar Guild and all the many volunteers for helping make ready for those who will come seeking hope and a new beginning in God through Christ! I appreciate you!

With fondness and faith,

Pastor Robin+

SIGNS OF HOPE & NEW LIFE... Baptisms Abound

Baptism is for ALL ages. It marks a new beginning. For adults, it is a public surrender to follow Jesus' way of love. For older kids it is a choice to say, "I need Jesus and I need help to learn His way." For babies and young children, their parents present their children for baptism into God’s love and life. We believe they are marked as Christ’s own forever, sealed by the Holy Spirit. We along with the parents and God parents pledge to teach them the way of Jesus love. When they are old enough they can confirm this choice for themselves at confirmation.

Join us on Sunday mornings in between services, 9:30 - 10:15 in the Youth Hall. For parents with children to be baptized, we will have childcare at that time.

Baptisms are traditionally on Easter Sunday, (April 20) or when a bishop comes - May 25. Some other dates are available - May 18 and June 22.

If you can't make it, text Pastor Robin for an appointment.

Last Week's Sermon: Let us Enter Sabbath Rest

Thank you for your patience as we adjusted to doing video in the Parish Hall, with a very different sound and video environment.

This week's video starts out very quiet, but the volume was corrected shortly into the sermon

Opportunities and Events

Donating Easter Lilies

You will find an envelope in Sunday’s bulletin which may be familiar to all of you who have been at St. Timothy’s through Christmas or Easter past. Your memories and/or thanksgivings are listed in

the bulletin for Easter, and your donations help with the cost of our wonderful music and decorations. Deadline is Sunday, April 13. Please put envelopes in the offering plate or bring them to the church office.

Daughters of the King Happenings

Our next meeting will be Sunday, April 13th in the Parish Hall following the 10:30 service. We will be cooking one-dish meals to be frozen in preparation for delivery to those of our congregation in need.

The DOK will also be working with the Brotherhood to sponsor observance of the National Day of Prayer on May 1st. Look for more details soon. Everyone is welcome to join us.

Parent Wellness Compass (Zoom)

Do you know a parent (or are you a parent) who could use a little support from other parents ?? Would you like to be a more intentional parent? Would you to meet other parents who understand the challenges and also want to be more intentional?

You can join a free six-week PARENT Wellness Circle via Zoom on Mondays, April 7th - May 12 2025, from 7:45-8:45 pm (Central time). I am a family therapist and one of the creators of the program, and will be facilitating this group.

To sign up go to the green bar on the top of our homepage of wellnesscompass.org and then scroll down to the Parent Wellness Compass link. Click and you will be in. Then more information will be emailed to you.

Parent Wellness Circles provide a small group experience with other parents (or any people who play an important role in the life of raising a child), and who would like the space to self-reflect, learn, and receive support in making a change(s) in their lives as a family.

Others attend as they are wondering what a Parent Wellness Circle is and want to experience one before facilitating one in their community.

Request Prayer

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

Philippians 4:6

There are 2 ways for prayer requests to be included in the Prayers of the People during worship and the weekly Blast. Details will remain confidential.

Call the office to share your request (979-297-6003).

Use the online form found on the church website or scan the QR code found here or in your bulletin.

Whether prayers of supplication or of thanksgiving:
  • Incorporate your personal prayers into worship
  • Use the longer pause during the Prayers of the People for spoken and unspoken prayer
  • Join a member of the Healing Prayer team at the side chapel after taking communion

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.
Matthew 18:20
