Lent Madness began in 2010 as a way during Lent to learn about the men and women who have inspired generations of Christians. It’s a straightforward bracket: 32 saints are in a tournament-style, single-elimination bracket. Each day you have an opportunity to vote for your favorite at lentmadness.org. Sixteen saints make it to the Saintly Sixteen; eight advances to the Elate Eight; four make it to the Faithful Four; two to the Championship; and the winner is awarded the Golden Halo!!
During a time of inward reflection and self-examination, this Lenten Devotional gives us time to learn about saints who fall into four categories:
- Hermits and Healers
- Sundry Saints
- Confusion Corner
- Mostly Modern
Some suggestions to join in Lent Madness:
- Join Lent Madness on its website, lentmadness.org and subscribe “via email” so you never miss a match-up
- Pick up a Saintly Scorecard and study up before you vote
- Like Lent Madness on Facebook
- Follow Lent Madness on Twitter at @lentmadness
- Watch Lent Madness videos at youtube.com/lentmadnesstv

Come, Pray - The Prayer I Need This Day: Lent 2021
The Society of St. John the Evangelist Brothers invite you to “Come, Pray.” Join us in the receiving the daily gift of prayer – at home or wherever you find yourself. Across the weeks of Lent, listen in as Brothers discuss the rich and varied ways we pray, together in church and in our personal prayer. Then join us for worship, exploring a rich array of live-streamed services, culminating in the glories of Holy Week. “Come, pray in me the prayer I need this day.”
To sign up for the weekly email: SSJE.org/subscribe and select "Monastic Wisdom for everyday living".
Episcopal Relief & Development Lenten Meditations
As Lent approaches this year, we lament. For, it has been a year in which we have experienced all kinds of loss. You are invited to meditate on these reflections daily and to engage the “Four Steps of Lament,” by resting, reflecting, repenting and ultimately being restored to God and to one another. Many of the authors share deeply personal and painful experiences related to a variety of issues including disease, violence, racial injustice and poverty. You are invited to come to these meditations with an open heart. What you read may challenge you and give rise to unexpected or uncomfortable feelings. If you would like to subscribe to receive these meditations daily in your inbox, please subscribe here. This Lent, may God restore your soul by bringing you into the bright new life that is our Easter promise. And may you continue to know that you are loved now and always.
