Build-a-Bear Sewing Project
You are invited to join our sewing project to brighten the day for kids at MDA Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. We will be sewing cute hospital gowns for donated BUILD-A-BEAR bears. Other volunteers will be sewing other bear clothes, so the bear will have a full wardrobe. Our goal is to complete at least 35 gowns by the end of September.

If you would like to participate, please reach out to Kathy Hutchison or Sisty Slick. Or, call the church office.
The Sewing Room has Moved
The new room is in the music wing, in the first room, (past the name tags). The old sewing room is being repurposed to become a space for Kindermusik.

Special thanks go to:
  • Mark Lehnhoff and the ARM for moving out the old furniture.
  • Gigi Janeshek for helping to organize the fabric.
  • Jackie Koch for helping to locate and move the tables.

Stop by and check it out!
On Sunday, August 29, sixteen years after Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, Hurricane Ida made landfall in the same region. This Category 4 storm brought flooding and damaging winds that caused a loss of water to hundreds of thousands and a loss of electricity to over 1 million people. Episcopal Relief & Development is working closely with the Diocese of Louisiana and other regional partners in what will be a long-term response. Your generous gift will help alleviate suffering for the most vulnerable residents impacted by Hurricane Ida. Please visit to make a gift today.

Episcopal Migration Ministries and our local affiliate offices are preparing to welcome and support Afghan families arriving to the United States. Afghan arrivals are expected imminently, and creative housing solutions will be needed both for temporary and transitional housing, as well as longer-term options.

Due to the sudden emergency need for this humanitarian response, cash donations are the best way to support the agencies at this time.

St. Timothy's Response
We are forming a discernment team to see if St. Timothy's should take a larger role in refugee assistance. If you would like to be on this team, please contact the office.
