Welcome Home Luncheon for our Uganda Missioners
Rescheduled - Sunday, October 14th (after the 10:30 service)
Pot luck! Bring your best dish to share. Coffee and tea will be provided. Sign-up sheets are located outside the Welcome Center. Let's show them how happy we are to have them back and how proud we are of them. If you have any questions, contact Dale Rasco at 979-236-5058.
This event has been
rescheduled so we don't conflict with the Rotary shrimp boil.
New Tuesday Bible Study starts October 16
Our next Bible study will be Elijah: Spiritual Stamina In Every Season by Melissa Spoelstra. We will start October 16 and finishing December 4, skipping November 20 due to Thanksgiving. The books will vary in price from $12 to $16 depending on shipping.
We will be weeding, trimming bushes, picking up sticks and doing some mulching. Please bring your garden tools and come to the church at 8:30am on Saturday, October 20th.
This is a great way to get to know other members of the parish you may not know well while working side by side. Bring your kids, they can help and contribute and feel a part of the clean-up.
St Timothy Key Holder Responsibility
Security can be an issue at St Timothy's if doors are left unlocked. If you are unlocking a door when you come into the facility, please lock the door behind you and do not leave the door unlocked.
If you are coming in for an event and you are the person in charge, you may leave the door for your part of the building unlocked until the event is finished then please lock the doors you unlocked. Examples include: choir practice, ARM, The Hall, Altar Guild or other scheduled events. Remember, the person in charge of the event is responsible for locking up or assigning someone to lock up at the end of the event.
If you are here and leave for a few minutes, like for lunch or running an errand, then lock the door when you leave.
Youth and Family Minister Search
We are seeking full-time minister to lead our youth and small-group ministries as well as to provide support for our children's Sunday School programs. This unordained position reports to the Rector and will oversee a group of lay teachers, parent volunteers and other lay leaders. Visit
www.stimothy.org/youthandfamily for more information.
Nursery Worker Needed
Do you know someone who is looking for some part-time work? St. Timothy's is seeking an individual who is interested in working on Sunday mornings for about 3 hours, and on occasional special services. The candidate will help out with Christian Education as needed, and must attend the required to attend Safeguarding God's Children training.
Contact the church office if you are interest or know a good candidate.
Tend our Garden
Got a green thumb? Please consider helping maintain a section of our flower beds. It only takes about 3-4 hours per month.
For more information, contact Kay McKneely.
Get Connected: Ministry Scheduler
St. Timothy's uses a software package named Ministry Scheduler Pro to manage our volunteers and ministry schedules. This makes it easy to check your ministry commitments, let us know when you are unavailable, and get reminders when you are scheduled to serve.
If you have an iOS or Android device, you can use the MSP mobile app. Or, connect over your browser to https://secure.rotundasoftware.com/l/web-terminal/login/stimothylj.
If you are having trouble connecting, try the "Forgot your user name or password?" link. This will send instructions to reset your password to your email.
If you have checked everything but you aren't getting any emails from MSP, try checking your Junk folder. Some email systems incorrectly mark the scheduler as SPAM.
You can pay your pledge, make memorial donations, make a Grace Garden purchase, give to the Capital Replacement Fund, the Hall, the Music Fund and flowers through Simple Give. The church offers this online service as a convenience to the congregation and there's no charge to you to use this service. However, the church is charged a flat fee of 1% for drafts/ACH transactions coming out of your checking or savings account. The church is charged 3.09% for credit card transactions.
The Simple Give link is at the bottom of St. Timothy's homepage. You can set up an online account or make one time contributions without creating an account.
Needs are: canned beans such as pinto or black or baked, cereals, soups of any kind, sides of any kind-shelves are looking kind of empty!
Thanks to all of you who are helping our neighbors who are in need!
Giving statements will be sent out in mid -October via the email address we have on file for you. If you would like to receive them via mail please contact our bookkeeper, Jackie Moore, at email@example.com.
