Our Weekly Blast!

For centuries the church has always held that history has divine meaning. That God himself enters into history to accomplish his purposes, and that his purposes therefore are understood as an unfolding story involving real people, real politics, real culture and real events. The Book of Acts is one extended narrative of the beginning of the church starting with those first apostles. Their apostolic witness to the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ is not only foundational to the church today, but also determinative of what its mission should be. After all, these first followers were responding to the Resurrection, and by closely surveying the unfolding story of their response in Acts we too can more faithfully respond to the Resurrection of our Savior which we celebrate together this Easter season.

Sewing Saturday is May 11

We have completed 89 sanitary packs to send with Fr. Brendan on his next mission trip to Uganda.  Thanks to everyone who helped sew, string bags, and cut patterns!

Our next project is to make elastic waist shorts for kids.  The shorts will be distributed by elementary school nurses when a child needs a change of clothes.  Our next sewing day will be Saturday May 11 from 10:00 - 2:00 in the Parish Hall. We will have patterns and some fabric, as well as some sewing machines.  Beginners are welcome.  Feel free to bring your own machine and sewing, and just "hang out".
