Reception for Rhonda Woodard, December 4

Our sexton Rhonda has been with us since 2011 and has recently let us know that she is retiring at the end of the month. Rhonda has kept our church clean and has done many other things around the church buildings and grounds with cheer and faithfulness. So we want to publicly thank Rhonda and wish her blessings in retirement during the 10:30 service the first Sunday in Advent, December 2nd. Please join us in the Parish Hall following the 10:30 service for a reception.
Grace Garden

To honor those not interred in the Grace Garden , memorial plaques will be made available. These plaques will be the same size and granite as our niche covers, will have the words "In Memoriam", and the name and the dates of the person being remembered. These will be mounted around the cross hanging in the Garden. Any parishioner, former parishioner, or immediate family member of a parishioner is welcome. Others may be considered by the Grace Garden committee. The cost for the plaques is $300. For information, please contact Carol Bohley or Sharon McKey.

Angel Tree
The Angel Tree program is a national organization that allows parents in prison to strengthen their connection with their children by providing gifts with a personal message from the parent.  Each child receives a toy gift, a clothing gift, and an age appropriate religious book.  No gift should exceed $20.00

Each October the church receives a list of children who live in the Clute-Lake Jackson area codes.  The caregivers are contacted for sizes and gift suggestions.  These gift ideas are written on the paper angels placed on the Angel Tree.  The "tree" will be in the narthex starting Sunday, November 25.  A donor selects an angel, purchases the gift, wraps it, attaches the top part of the angel to the package, and brings it to the church.  The gifts are delivered the week before Christmas.

The wrapped gifts should be returned no later than December 16.  Donations of money for books can be put in the stocking on the tree or given to Harriet Cutshall or Nancy Carter.  Checks should be written to St. Timothy's with a notation of "for Angel Tree".

The Food Basket
11/27 Update

Wow! Just wow! 100.5 pounds of food delivered this morning! I don't care if it was 2 weeks worth that is phenomenal! So so proud of us!

Now the need is for personal care items-shampoo, bar soap, deodorant, toothpaste, shaving cream and razors. Let's help folks feel good about themselves.
Join us for Friday Evening Prayer
Join us any week on Friday at 5:15 in the chapel for this special time of prayer.  This simple service follows the beautiful words of the Book of Common Prayer.  We take about 30-45 minutes for the prayers, Bible reading, and a brief discussion of the day's lessons.  This is a great way to transition from the cares of the work week to the weekend.
St. Timothy's Lay Eucharistic Visitors
St. Timothy's Lay Eucharistic Visitors is a ministry which administers the consecrated bread and wine to members unable to be present at the celebration due to illness, injury or other infirmity. Should you be in need of a Eucharistic visit or know of someone in need, please contact either Kim Lehnhoff or Mark Lehnhoff.  "We who are many are one body because we all share one bread, one cup."
