St Joseph High School - A Catholic College Preparatory Community
Dear Friends,
Good morning and Happy Monday, St. Joes. Despite the cold and wintry conditions, I hope you enjoyed a wonderful weekend. Ash Wednesday, February 17, marked the beginning of the Lenten Season and Father Eric Silva presided over grade-level Liturgy of the Word services and distributed ashes to students and adults throughout the day. It was an extremely special day on the SJ Campus. As you know, Lent is considered to be a spiritual season of calm; marked by reflection, repentance, and acts of goodness and kindness toward others.
On Friday afternoon, Campus Leaders met to finalize an action-packed Spring Events Calendar (March-June) for our community. The official calendar of Spring Events will be shared with you later this week. In addition, we continue to see a gradual relaxation of Connecticut COVID-19 restrictions driven by improving state, county, and local trend data; the expansion of the inoculation process for adults and essential employees, and a refined scientific/medical understanding of the Coronavirus regarding school operations. Based upon these very positive indicators of forward progress, we are developing a thoughtful plan to expand our in-person learning model for the fourth marking period which begins on March 17. Stay tuned for further details to be communicated this week.
As always, your family remains in my daily thoughts and prayers. I wish you a healthy, safe and joyous week ahead.
In Faith and Fellowship,
David J. Klein
