St Joseph High School - A Catholic College Preparatory Community
Dear Friends,
Good morning and Happy Monday, St. Joes. I hope you’re enjoying your summer break thus far. I am thrilled to share an end of year message with you as we prepare to take a short break from our “This Week at St Joes” weekly deployment until mid-August.
Congratulations are in order for our SJ athletic teams and loyal Cadet fans! On Saturday, the Varsity Boys Lacrosse Team defeated East Catholic to capture a third consecutive State Championship. The Varsity Girls Softball Team finished runner up in a highly competitive championship game to an undefeated Masuk. Our student athletes represented St Joes with great honor and class.
The Class of 2024 celebrated their Freshmen Finale on Thursday with breakfast under the tent, engaging lawn games, and cherished camaraderie. On Friday, we honored our amazing faculty and staff retirees with a beautiful luncheon, gifts of appreciation, and heartfelt speeches about the love of the SJHS family. It was a fitting way to end the school year.
As you know, St Joes never sleeps and the fast, determined pace of forward progress will resume next week with our summer programming. Academic course offerings, athletic camps and conditioning, and special events will keep our current and future Cadets busy in the coming months! In fact, this morning our SJ golf enthusiasts are “teeing it up” to raise funds for SJ at the Mill River Country Club.
I am ever grateful for our amazing Cadets, our loyal and encouraging families, and our outstanding SJ faculty, staff, and administration. We were all confronted with unprecedented challenges, and we proved that Cadets Carry On and are Always Stronger and Better Together. Thank you for your steadfast partnership, encouragement, and prayers – we appreciate you more than you can even imagine.
Your family will remain in my daily prayers and intentions and if you are in the SJ neighborhood this summer – please stop by and say hello. Have a fulfilling week ahead and Happy Summer.
In Faith and Fellowship,
David J. Klein
