Demonstrating the St Joes Difference. SJ Admissions Holds Events for Incoming and Future Students!
Because the proof is in the people.

SJ's Admissions Team has been hard at work this spring speaking with incoming parents as well as prospective students about what makes St Joes truly special.

On March 27, SJ hosted a New Parent Meeting for the incoming class of 2023. The purpose was to ensure that the transition to St Joes was an easy one. Parents were able to get a head start and ask any questions as they prepare for their students' first day in September!

Then, on April 3, St Joes opened our doors to incoming students looking to be a part of the class of 2024! The event was well-attended and gave an opportunity for families to meet faculty, student ambassadors, and future friends. There's no doubt in our minds that as soon as a student walks through our doors, they will see that the people make all the difference -- because it matters where you go to high school.

Academic Spotlights: An Interdisciplinary Connection
Last week, Mrs Rivera of the World Language Department was a guest speaker in Ms Lowell’s Multicultural Literature class. Mrs Rivera contributed her expertise on the class’ Latino-American and Latino/Chicano Perspectives and Voices Literature and History Unit. Mrs Rivera spoke about her pride in her Puerto Rican heritage and culture, her faith in the Catholic religion, and her family’s experience during the devastation of Hurricane Maria upon Puerto Rico.
SJ's Football Jersey Hanging in Aroogas!
The next time you pay a visit to Arooga's Grille House in Shelton, take a look around the walls!

A huge thanks to Mr Tedesco, P '20, who helped St Joes secure a spot on the restaurant's walls for an SJ football jersey signed by the team members. Underneath the jersey reads, "St Joseph Football, State Champs Back to Back. Win Everyday"

We can't wait to add even more St Joe apparel to their walls!

Librarian Recommended: Lifel1k3 by Jay Kristoff!
This thriller is set in a post-apocalyptic North America where the laws of robotics no longer hold and AI takes many forms, from a sentient garbage-collecting kraken to cuddly dogs whose only nonmetal body part is their brain. The stars of the show are the androids, built by Eve’s father in the image of her siblings and named for the angels whose fall from grace they mimic. There is a lot to discuss about what makes beings “human,” where the line between confidence and complacence exists, and how loss can unhinge even the strongest among us.
