Boys Lacrosse
For the eighth time this decade, Boys LAX played for the CIAC Class S Championship!

Lacrosse played on Saturday against Bacon Academy and won 9-3! Congratulations, State Champs!!
On June 4, SJ Baseball defeated Rockville with a 3-hit, 10-strikeout game! Their win earned the team their first final since winning a state title in 2013.

Baseball played on Saturday against Wolcott and defeated them 6-3! Congratulations, Class M State Champs!!
Girls Lacrosse
On Saturday, Girls LAX advanced to their first state finals! While they were defeated by East Lyme, we are so proud of their accomplishment!

“St Joseph never even made it to states until four years ago,” Coach Gray said. “It feels awesome to make it to the finals, after being in Class M for only two seasons.”
Boys Golf
We would be remiss if we didn't congratulate Boys Golf for making it to the State Championships! They played on June 4 and finished 9th overall.

In addition, congratulations to Jake Debroff '19 who played in the State Golf Open on Saturday!
Girls Golf
Congratulations Jamie Andrade '22 and Lauren Pleszko '21 for winning the Guimares Tournament! They came in 1st out of 14 teams! Way to go, Cadets!!
SJ's Stephen Paolini '19 Drafted by the Atlanta Braves!
Congratulations to Stephen Paolini '19, who was selected on June 4th by the Atlanta Braves in the 5th round draft!

“I’ve dreamed of this day since T ball,” Paolini said. “Seeing guys like Jackie Bradley Jr. and Mookie Betts out there in the outfield, I’m a Red Sox fan. That’s changing as of right now.”

One Book, One School, One Community.
This year’s One School, One Book initiative will engage our school community in a literary experience that reaches beyond the classroom and traditional summer reading assignments. Each student at St Joes must read Life in a Jar for their summer reading assignment. Through our shared reading experience, we will explore varied projects for each academic discipline, and come together as a community for shared discussion and activities. Projects will be assigned in September.

SJ Cadets: Take Part in Fan the Fire on
Saturday, August 10!
The 14th Annual Fan the Fire Youth Rally will take place on Saturday, August 10 from 9:30am-10:00pm at St Rose of Lima Church in Newtown, CT.

All students in grades 8-12 are invited and encouraged to attend this incredibly day, which will consist of inspiring keynotes, the celebration of Mass and Eucharistic Adoration, uplifting worship music, breakout sessions, and entertainment.

Lunch and dinner are included in the registration fee.

For 48 hours (June 12 - June 13), the alumni class with the highest participation will be recognized as our  Class Act Champions ! There is also a $10,000 match opportunity for NEW alumni donors to the challenge. Give a gift and it will be DOUBLED by a very generous donor!

Consider Donating to a Summer Food Drive!
St Joseph High School has teamed up with Spooner House to fight hunger In Operation, Yes We "Can"! A huge thanks to Grace DeDonato '23 and her family for spearheading this great effort!

On Friday, May 31, Cadets received bags during homeroom for this Summer Food Drive. Please consider filling these bag with non-perishable food items for the Spooner House in Shelton. Students can drop off their bags at St Joes throughout the next two weeks or bring them directly to Spooner House on our designated food drive date: Saturday, June 22 between 9am-11am .

Summer is the perfect time to think about your mind, body, and spirit. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to visit our Health & Wellness Center during the summer (space permitting).
