St Joseph High School - A Catholic College Prep School
Remembering 9-11
Tomorrow marks the 17th Anniversary of September 11th - a day that will forever be etched into our hearts and minds. Pope Francis shared words of peace during his visit to the World Trade Center Memorial:

In remembrance, we pray for... "Peace in all those places where war never seems to end. Peace for those faces which have known nothing but pain. Peace throughout this world which God has given us as the home of all and a home for all. Simply peace."

SJ Varsity Football Defeats New Canaan in a
28-0 Shutout Game!
SJ Cadets reigned supreme against New Canaan in football's opening game on Saturday! Thank you to all those who came out to support our athletes!

Last year, the Cadets took down New Canaan in a stunning game - a feat that had not been accomplished since 2012.

“It doesn’t get any better than that,” said SJ head coach, Joe Della Vecchia on Saturday, “you play the number-one team again, a great program and rich tradition that they have, and we played lights out.”

We're Searching for the Class of 2023!
It's that time of year again! We're counting on every member of the SJ community to come together and spread the "good word" about our fall Open House, the largest admissions event of the school year for prospective students.

This year's Open House is Sunday, October 14 and the Admissions Team is asking for your help by displaying an Open House Lawn Sign!

Please make sure to pick up a lawn sign at the SJHS admissions office (in the main corridor) to display on the front lawn/sidewalk of your house, middle school, or business (especially if located on a high traffic road). Please decorate your town green or communal areas with our signs as well!

Lastly, if you know a prospective parent and/or student interested in St Joes, send them our way! Have them contact our admissions office by calling 203-378-9378 ext 308 or emailing  [email protected] .

Get Those Sneakers Ready:
Walk-A-Thon is October 16!
The 2018 Walk-a-thon is fast approaching!

SJ's Walk-a-thon is the largest student-led fundraiser of the year and the committee is already hard at work. As usual, the day will be filled with games, walking, custom t-shirts, and Rita's Ice.

Each student is asked to raise at least $100 and the more money they raise, the more access they have to prizes!

Past Walk-a-thons have supported air-conditioning in the Cold & Hot Food Cafeterias (much appreciated last week!), the completion of the SJ Broadcasting Room, the remodeling of the Commons, the construction of the new Health and Wellness Center, and more. You can also support the event by donating gift cards for prizes, finding corporate sponsors, volunteering during the event, or offering monetary gifts.

We hope you will help support our school and community. More information to come but if you have any questions regarding the event, please feel free to email Mr Pappa –  [email protected] .

Want to add your business' name or logo to our Walk-a-thon
t-shirts? Contact Michele Krasznai to find out how!
