This Sunday in both services (9:00 and 11:05 am), we will remember the beloved saints we have lost in the last year. As part of our remembrance, our choir and orchestra will perform a new masterwork, Illuminare, by Elaine Hagenberg.

This stunning piece draws on texts from Saint Ambrose, Hildegard von Bingen, Aurelius Prudentius Clemons, Saint Gregory, and the Bible. Illuminare takes us on a journey from light through darkness and back into the light again. Like our own journeys through life, sometimes fraught and grief-filled, we find our way back into the peace and love of Christ which has sustained us all along.

I hope you will join us this Sunday as we remember those saints which have shaped our lives through music and the act of Holy Communion.

Peace,

Pastor Lindsay
