Immigrant Support Update
Temple Sinai's RAIS (Refugee Asylum Immigrant Sanctuary team) continues to coordinate refugee support.
Joseph and Laeticia Mayele, along with their 6-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son, have joined Joseph's brother Blondy here in DC. Temple Sinai is now helping four immigrant households. We need your help. Donate now (mention immigrant support or RAIS.)

First, we need money. Second, we need volunteers who can help with daily needs for the families. Third, there is an urgent need for a home for Joseph and Laeticia with their two children. This could be an apartment sublet, a space in your house or a house that is available to rent.

Any assistance is appreciated as we help all these families with their quest for asylum and integration into life in the Washington, DC area. Please contact Glenn Engelmann or Sonia Chessen  if you would you like to offer critical support for these refugee families.
IN THE COMING WEEKS
Connections Program at Temple Sinai
July 29-August 2
Looking for a FREE, FUN-FILLED week-long program for your child with Autism, ADD or ADHD (ages 2-5)? There are still a few spots available for the Connections summer program at Temple Sinai.  Co-led by an Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist and Special Education Teacher, children will learn, connect, and grow with their peers.

Thanks to a grant from the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington and Temple Sinai's support, this program is free of charge (outside of the $36 non refundable application fee). At Temple Sinai we are excited to bring this program to our community and are committed to ALL families in our congregation and the greater DC Metro area.  Please email Rachel Hynes  for more information.
