Beyond Gas Investigation Report Release Webinar
Friday, November 22 at 12:00 pm
Over the past two years, Beyond Gas—a coalition of local advocacy groups including the Washington Interfaith Network—tested nearly 700 DC and MoCo kitchens with gas stoves for nitrogen dioxide, a harmful pollutant from burning methane. Shockingly, 6 out of 10 kitchens showed hazardous levels during routine cooking, with some exceeding safe limits by 2-4 times. Fortunately, Temple Sinai’s kitchen passed the test. Join a webinar to explore the findings, learn citizen science methods, and discuss organizing strategies to improve public health and drive policy change.

Holiday Gift Drive
Through December 12 at Temple Sinai
The Sinai House Board is hosting its annual Holiday Party for current and former residents and their families. A highlight is the Secret Shop, where families can select gifts for loved ones, which board members wrap for them to take home. For many, this is their only chance to shop for the holidays.
We’re seeking donations of new, unwrapped gifts for kids (ages 2-18) and adults, including parents, teachers, and grandparents. A ddonation bin is located in the TS lower lobby near the South Entrance.
Thank you for your generosity! Please reach out to Elissa Ginsky with any questions.
