TSWRJ Reproductive Justice Book Discussion

Join us as we learn about the essentials of Reproductive Justice, guided by the book Reproductive Justice: an Introduction, by Loretta J. Ross and Rickie Solinger (copies available in the Temple Sinai library). Julie Stein, History Teacher at Georgetown Day High School, will lead the discussion. Please come whether or not you’ve read the book.

Consecration Shabbat Service & Dinner

At this special service, we have the joy and honor of blessing our newest class of learners and welcoming them into a formal course of study in their Jewish lives. The service will be followed by a participatory dinner.

Environmental Justice Lunch & Listening Session

Come help the Green Team choose a project to focus on this year! Initiatives include minimizing transportation's impact on carbon emissions, adopting clean energy in public schools, reducing waste in places of worship, and participating in the Religious Action Center Environmental Justice cohort. Thanksgiving Baskets Project

Join our annual tradition of providing tikkun olam for needy families! Help us put together Thanksgiving bags full of food that we will give to several non-profits for distribution. We need volunteers to help transport groceries from the supermarket to Temple Sinai and then we need lots of help to decorate and assemble them. This a great social action activity for families and all ages welcome! Contact Ellen Croog if you can join us.
American Jews Break Their Silence

Join us for an evening of conversation with American veterans of the IDF returning with urgent questions about Israel’s occupation and its future. Hear from the growing number of American lone soldiers who are breaking their silence – for the first time – about the moral costs of the occupation.
