Purcell Marian has been participating in two different dual enrollment programs that allow students to earn both high school and college credit.  One of these programs, called the Collegium is offered through both Xavier University and Mount St. Joseph University.  In this program qualifying students enroll in courses sponsored by the university and PM.  These courses are all offered at Purcell Marian and students wishing to earn college credit at a cost of $50.00/credit hour may enroll.  This program as it is currently offered through Mount Saint Joseph will not change.  Courses offered through MSJ are:  Spanish, British Literature and Creative Writing.

Current courses offered by Xavier through the Collegium are:  Calculus, American History and Psychology.  In the past our students also participated in the Post Secondary Option Program of the State of Ohio at Xavier.  Through this program students took courses at Xavier such as Calculus II, Economics, and Literature.  This program however is changing.  It is now called the College Credit Plus Program and it places more requirements on the university with a decrease in funding from the State.  Xavier University is currently considering their participation both of these options.  We will keep you informed as information is made available.

For the most complete information on the College Credit Plus Program go to: https://education.ohio.gov/.../Media/.../College-Credit-Plus.pdf.aspx
