We have fallen in love with the squish of Wolkenspiel yarn more than once. You pick up a skein and the "oh, what can do with this?" just gushes out.
Wolkenspiel is now discontinued and we are parting ways with this wonderfully soft merino based yarn. Take a look at the blend and at the colors. You just might want to add a skein or two of this to your stash. NOTE: this is a BIG price drop for a hand dyed, luxury yarn.

I'm a big fan of birdwatching and find Birdcast to be a fascinating way to track fall migration. Most migration happens at night so this is a unqiue way to follow the flocks as they wing their way south.
Here in Huron County, Michigan we are surrounded by Lake Huron, one of the five Great Lakes. Mr. Great Lakes, a.k.a. Jeff Kart, produces an NPR show that's broadcast locally on Fridays. Jeff uses a "three points and a prayer" approach to educating the public about the Lakes. His stuff is short, sweet, unsalted, shark-free (as we say about these huge inland lakes!)
