Brett Winters: LIVE @ Inspiration Bar
Date: Friday, September 30
Time: 7-9pm
Cost: free to attend
Indie-folk singer and songwriter Brett Winters returns to his home base in the Wisconsin Northwoods, performing at the Warehouse on Friday, September 30 from 7-9pm. Brett acoustically and vocally blends “classic to modern” folk styles from artists such as Paul Simon, Gordon Lightfoot and Nick Drake, to today’s sounds of Ben Howard, Gregory Alan Isakov and Phoebe Bridgers.
Brett’s inspiration for song writing and acoustic talent observes life’s milestones and road bumps. Often using alternative tunings to explore the fretboard and conjuring foreign soundscapes, he layers on top a Jónsi-like falsetto to engender wistful passion. His deep lyrics, both thought-provoking and soothing, poignantly paint a life in service to healing, connection, and dignity.
