Youth Photography and Videography Classes
Dates: Mondays weekly: June 6, 13, 20, 27, July 11, 18, 25, August 1, 8
Time: 9am-10:30am (photography), 10:30am-12pm (videography)

Cost: $12 / each class drop-in, or $90 for each 9-week session
Students will use iPads provided by The Warehouse for these classes.
Children ages 6 and under are asked to please bring an adult to stay and help.

Photo 101

Learn the ins and outs of photography!
Participants will explore the following:
-Perspective and the art of seeing
-Photo Technique- from taking the picture, to editing, and printing.
-Equipment- What toys do you absolutely need- or not?
-Show your work! Take photos not just for fun- but share it with family, social media- or to print and display!
This is a 1⁄2 day workshop.

2-D Tuesday: Open Studio

Open studio work time is scheduled every Tuesday from 10am-3pm, available for people to work independently on their artwork in our 2-D room. Participants will provide their own materials.
2-D Tuesday: Watercolor Community Class

This is a watercolor community class under the guidance of Dr. Donna Murray. Participants will provide their own materials. Watercolor materials are also available for purchase at The Warehouse.

Yoga Flow with Kate Remme

Cost: $50 / person for the 5-week June session, or $12 / class
This athletic and strengthening Yoga class will flow from one pose to the next, while releasing muscle tension & reducing stress. Various styles of Yoga will be explored, such as Power Yoga, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Yoga Fusion. Modifications offered for all levels.

June Beginning/Advanced Beginning Wheel Throwing (class 2 of 3)
Dates: Wednesdays June 1, 8, 15

Cost: $185 / person
This class is for absolute beginners to advanced beginners. Students who have never wheel thrown and students who have taken some classes and want to improve their wheel throwing skills and are all welcome in this class. Are you just beginning to explore the wheel for the first time, or are you not quite ready for an advanced wheel throwing class? This is the class for you.
This is a 3-session series with instructor Johanna Buwalda.
6 students maximum.

June Youth Art: Recreation in the Northwoods
Dates: Wednesdays June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 (5-week session)
Time: 10:30am-12pm

In this unit, students will create projects that explore the theme of recreation in the Northwoods- fishing, camping, biking, swimming and more!

Dotting with Deb 3 (SOLD OUT!)
Date: Wednesday June 8
Time: 1-4pm
Instructor: Debbie Wycklendt
Cost: $75 / person
Join Debbie Wycklendt as she teaches you to dot! This is an introductory experience. All materials will be provided. Each participant will receive a took kit that includes 17 dotting tools, a stencil, a pallet, 4 bottles of paint (turquoise, teal, dark blue, and white), and a 5×7 canvas.

Cost: $215 / person
This class will focus on different methods of using clay as a canvas for expression. The class will include demonstrations of techniques such as sgraffito, stencils, inlay and painting with underglaze and slips. It will also go deeper to discuss composition and ways to use image source materials. Time will be spent looking at work of artists who’s work is focused on illustration.

Northwoods Photography Club Meeting

Are you looking for inspiration, motivation, camaraderie? Whether you’re a beginner, advanced amateur, or a professional photographer, here’s a chance to share and practice new skills, learn from others, and showcase your work.
Meetings will include informational/discussion sessions, a member spotlight, and a challenge assignment.
The meetings are open to anyone with an interest in photography.
Join us on the second Wednesday of each month from 6-8pm.

June Pottery Baskets (class 2 of 3)
Dates: Thursdays June 2, 9, 16
Time: June 2: 2-5pm, June 9 + 16: 2-4pm
Instructor: Johanna Buwalda
Cost: $100 / person
This is a Handbuilding class which means that instead of mainly using a pottery wheel, we will use forms and the extruder to create thin strips of clay that can be woven together to form a basket. The instructor will help you design your basket, and guide you through some different techniques to create it. We can embellish our baskets with decorative rims and handles, and of course a beautiful glaze.

Corks & Canvas

With instruction and guidance from an experienced artist/teacher, participants will paint their own version of an example image and will start at the beginning, including a description of tools and materials, and proceed step by step through the creation of an acrylic painting.
