Slate of Nominees for Annual Parish Meeting

One Morning Service on Feb. 15

Sun., 2/15, 10 am, Church & livestreamed

We will combine Morning Prayer worship with our Annual Parish Meeting at 10 am on Sun., Feb. 15. The Meeting’s various reports, presentations, and business -- including updates from our 150th Committee -- will be threaded through the liturgy at that hour. With intentions to welcome as many people as possible, this will be our only worship service for the morning (there will be no 8 am or 5 pm service). A livestream to trinitychurchboston.org/live-worship, and YouTube and Facebook pages will welcome those worshiping from home.

The slate, that will be moved at the Annual Parish Meeting, includes a Junior Warden, Clerk, two members of the Vestry, and a delegate to the Diocesan Convention.

Ash Wednesday

Wed., 2/18, 7:30 am, 12 pm, 7 pm (also livestreamed), Church

We will impose ashes at each Ash Wednesday service. The 7:30 am service will be spoken; the noon service will include congregational hymnody; and the evening service will include choir.

Forum: A Tale of Two Litanies

Sun., 2/22, 11:15 am, Lloyd Forum

Join us for a conversation about the liturgical changes we make for Lent. From Ash Wednesday's litany to the Great Litany sung on the first Sunday of Lent, our liturgy shapes the season and our prayers. Come hear the history behind the tradition and have a chance to join in this prayerful practice this year.

In this divisive moment, we are called to both go forth and build meaningful connection across lines of difference and to tend to our spirits and communities. Join us for presentation and conversation which focuses on this seemingly at-odds intersection. Participants will get a chance to develop the muscles of sacramental friendship as we experiment with spiritual practices from Be-Friend, the Interfaith Friendship Program for students, faculty and staff at Tufts University.  Sign up here.

Join the Rev. Dr. Michael Battle on a walking Pilgrimage along Spain’s Camino Santiago, from Thurs., May 28 to Fri., June 5. A spiritual journey in which pilgrims commune with God, each other and nature, this same path has been taken for more than 1300 years by thousands of pilgrims making their way to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, the burial site of St. James the Apostle.

Milestones

We commend to God’s care and keeping Laura Morris, who died on February 2. Her service will be held at Trinity on Thurs., April 30, at 10 am.
