A Message from the Wardens
We know that news of Andrea's departure may come as a surprise. In the weeks ahead,
we will have opportunities to celebrate her ministry and give thanks for all she has
brought to Trinity's life. We are deeply grateful for her leadership and the strong
foundation she leaves behind as we begin this next chapter together.
News of a transition like this can bring questions and uncertainty. We want to reassure you that Trinity is prepared for this next season. Our parish is grounded by a dedicated staff, committed lay leaders, an engaged Vestry, and a vibrant congregation. Together, we are committed to maintaining the vibrant worship, ministries, and fellowship that are at the heart of Trinity's life.
You can expect worship to continue in ways that feel familiar and meaningful. Sunday services will be led by supply clergy, with Morning Prayer offered on some occasions. As we experienced during Andrea's sabbatical, this season will also create opportunities for our lay ministers to share their gifts of leadership and spiritual guidance. Pastoral care and the day-to-day life of the parish will continue uninterrupted, supported by our staff and a network of ordained clergy.
We have already been in contact with The Rev. Dr. Kevin Olds, Canon for Congregations and Transitions, who will guide us through the next steps. Andrea will celebrate her last Sunday service with us on August 9th. Canon Olds will join us on September 13th and will be available during coffee hour to talk with us about what we can expect in the coming months. We anticipate beginning work this fall toward the process of seeking the priest who will lead Trinity into its next season. As that process unfolds, there will be many opportunities for parishioners to share their perspectives, hopes, and prayers for our future. Transitions are a natural part of parish life. While they can be bittersweet, they are also
opportunities for reflection, renewal, and growth. We are confident that God is already at work in the next chapter of Trinity's story. As we give thanks for Andrea's ministry among us, we look forward with hope and anticipation to the future God is preparing for our parish.
Please join us in praying for Andrea and her family during this time of transition, and keep our Vestry, staff, and parish community in your prayers as well.

Dorothy Day Hospitality House
As many know, Trinity has had teams of volunteers for many years who go to Dorothy Day in Danbury to prepare meals for those in need. This month our team prepared a very ambitious meal and served an excellent, nutritious, multi-layered Chicken enchilada casserole meal for 146 people.
It's no small feat to plan, shop and prepare for this event and as DD Coordinator for Trinity, I want to thank the team for always showing up and delivering! Our team rotates with a few regulars, but we always welcome anyone who wants to be on the list of people who can be available on the third Tuesday of each month.
There are many tasks, from chopping, stuffing lunch bags to monitoring guests in the shelter as people eat their food.
A big thanks and much gratitude to this team in June, who make this service to the community possible.

As church school takes a summer hiatus, I wanted to share a little about what I’ll be up to over the next few months!
This summer will, in some sense, be a “traveling ministry” season for me. Just as Jesus traveled from town to town sharing God's love and serving communities, some weeks I’ll be visiting different churches throughout the summer doing supply clergy work. There will also be some weeks I will be assisting on the altar at Trinity as well!
In addition, I’ll be working with the Communications Department at the Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG). CRCOG 1of 9 "council of governments," organizations that help towns and municipalities across their region work together on important issues such as transportation, planning, sustainability, emergency services, and community development. CRCOG is responsible for 38 municipalities within the north central part of the state. I will be helping to tell their story through social media, video production, and digital communications. A big part of my role is highlighting the ways municipalities partner together through the work of CRCOG and how collaboration strengthens our communities.
This work reflects part of the bi-vocational ministry I feel called to- working at the intersections of parish ministry and environmental justice work within the broader community. While this particular role is not directly environmentally focused, it reflects my passion for working across differences and seeking ways we can better love our neighbors as ourselves.
I look forward to sharing more stories and experiences from this summer season!
