36 Main Street, Newtown, CT

Dear Trinity,

Thank you for your overwhelming response to the shelves in need! We are so grateful to continue our Mission of giving food to those in need in our community.

Gratefully,

The Little Pantry

Each day I live, I will sing to the Lord, I will lift my voice to glorify his name. Singing clear and strong, I will raise my song. His wondrous love I’ll proclaim!

This Sunday is Music Ministry Appreciation Day! This is the Sunday when we take a moment to show our love and gratitude for those who have given their musical talents for the glory of God at Trinity this past year. Our choir members, instrumentalists, professional section leaders, organists, and kids who have sung in church, are all so very cherished and appreciated for their contributions to our worship. And we can’t forget our tech guild who faithfully serve in the loft, providing for our sound needs and bringing church to those who aren’t able to attend Sunday worship in-person. We are so grateful!

The music this Sunday will focus on a theme of glorifying God through music and singing, and the choir will offer a special anthem, “I Will Serve the Lord All My Days”, which includes the beautiful lyrics above. I love this anthem because it sums up why we choose to use our musical talents (at whatever level) to serve God and to bear witness to his grace and faithfulness.

And if that wasn’t fabulous enough, there’s cake after church!

With gratitude for all who have shared musical talents and those who have supported our music ministry at Trinity,

Jennifer

Over the past few weeks in Church School, our children have been learning about the early Church, and the many ways the first followers of Jesus shared God’s love with others. Inspired by the letters Paul wrote to encourage Christian communities, the children created their own letter to the people of Trinity. I hope their words will be a blessing to you.

Dear Trinity Church,

God is good and loves us. God listens to us and teaches us how to live. God saves us from our sins and forgives us. God makes the world a better place. God created the world, and we should help care for all of God’s creation.

God wants us to love one another. We can share God’s love by helping others. We thank you for the Breakfast Sunday helpers. We thank you for the Christmas pageant helpers.

God protects us and watches over us. He helps us when times are hard. When we are tired, God gives us peaceful rest.

In peace,

2025-2026 Church School

This week, we look forward to celebrating the end of our Church School program year. We will have fun with bubbles as we think of ways to shine our lights during the summer.

During coffee hour, I will have a small token of appreciation for those who have helped support this ministry throughout the year. I am deeply grateful to all who have shared their time, gifts, and faith with our children and helped make Church School a welcoming and supportive environment. Your presence has made a difference in the lives of our children. I would like to especially thank Cindy Andereau, Kristine Cochrane, Koryn Dirschel, Virgina Holmes, Kara Leake, Christina Lye, Jessica O’Meara, Rebecca Merrick, Beth Murphy and Jennifer Sisco.

Should you wish to make a donation to LL, please mail a check to First Congregational Church of Ridgefield (FCC), 103 Main Street, Ridgefield, Ct 06877. The memo line should read LLGD or click here.
