There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens

Ecclesiastes 3:1

As we approach Memorial Day weekend and the unofficial beginning of summer, this time of year feels like a threshold in the life of the church. In our music ministry, choir rehearsals are beginning to wind down as we learn and practice our final anthems, and we look forward to our final Thursday rehearsal on June 4th (with choir party!) and our June 14th music appreciation Sunday. In many ways, these final weeks of the program year invite us to reflect with gratitude on all that has filled our worship life this season: The music of Lent and Holy Week, the celebration of Easter morning with exciting brass, our glorious Evensong, the Women and Children’s Choir, Christmas Eve, and the list goes on. The faithful presence of those who have, week after week, helped to lead our congregation in musical worship are what truly makes our music ministry a living gift. And like the church year itself, music moves in seasons, and we are enjoying this sweet time of reflection and remembering.

This Sunday, we are called to remember sacrifice on the eve of Memorial Day. Our music will blend Pentecost with the honoring of the faithfulness that we remember. And as we move toward summer, may we continue to lift our voices in thankfulness for the season behind us and the hope of what God has in store for us.

In Christ,

Jennifer

Last week in Church School, we learned about how God gave Paul a second chance to use his light for good in the world. Just as Paul had people who helped guide and support him along the way, we created our own list of people we want to pray for. We also made butterflies as symbols of new life, transformation, and the ways God brings change into the world.

Looking ahead to this week, here at Trinity Church we are celebrating the feast of Pentecost. This moment in the early Church marks when the Holy Spirit came down and interrupted a gathering, helping the disciples to share God’s love and good news to even more people.

In Church School, we will discover how God’s children live all around the world and how the Holy Spirit comes to each of them. Pentecost is also sometimes called the Church’s birthday, and birthdays are often celebrated with games! We will have our own versions of party games in Church School as we celebrate together.

Stroller Cardio, Sculpt & Strength is a program created for moms (and pregnant mamas to be), to exercise with their little ones in strollers. This workout class combines total body exercises, core, and cardio. It offers a chance for women to rebuild strength, connection, and community. No equipment needed, a water bottle and a towel are encouraged.

Safety and Details: For the safety of everyone attending class, the children are required to remain securely strapped into the stroller for the entire 30-40 min workout. Please bring any snacks, toys, etc., to keep kids engaged. We understand babies are on their own schedule sometimes, so the feeding, changing, etc. can be done before or after the workout. Please dress yourself and child according to weather.

New Process for Vouchers

Vouchers can now be submitted virtually. There is a new page on Trinity's website (Vouchers). Please use this online form as a way to submit vouchers. If you need help learning this new system, please contact Kim.
