Stewardship Update
Good afternoon. I would like to start by thanking everyone who has made their 2026 pledge commitment already. We have about 80% of our pledges already in and the same for the pledge commitment we are attempting to budget for.
If you are able to complete your discernment and ready to make a pledge commitment please do so online, or reach out to Noel Bellesheim, Treasurer or John Sullivan Stewardship chair. We would be happy to answer any questions that remain or explain the Episcopal process further.
This Sunday is also Stewardship Breakfast Sunday, so please join us after the service for a warm meal, fellowship, and our sincere thanks for time, many talents, and treasure you bring to Trinity Church.
The Stewardship Commission and Vestry of Trinity.
You can click the link below which will take you to the Trinity Pledge 2026 page. With a few clicks and taps your pledge will be complete.

Big thanks for the Pantry Wagon
Cheryl Clark is someone who sees a need and creates a solution! Each Sunday, when we bring the bags up to the altar to be blessed, (Thanks to all for this remarkable response) They are then carried to the cupboard on the church's lower level before our pantry restockers take from there to fill the pantry each day. As you will have noticed, we are receiving so many donations lately, it often takes several people to carry them down. So Cheryl purchased a wagon to help with that job. Anyone is welcome to carry bags downstairs, with wagon or not.
Thanks also to Cheryl for the Big Y gift card, always a welcome gift to the pantry needs.
Congratulations to all the pantry supporters. Our library donation box is also being used! We are truly a gift to Newtown.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise. Be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting and his truth endures to to all generations.
-Psalm 100
The choir is lifting up a joyful Psalm 100 anthem this Sunday! In fact, all of the music has a joyful overtone this week because we are rejoicing in God’s goodness and mercy. As we reflect on the past few months at Trinity, we see so much hard work and so many blessings. We completed major projects such as the roof which will shield worshippers for generations to come, and the stained glass window that bathes our sanctuary in light. Our stewardship campaign has come to another faithful close, reminding all of us of the generosity and common mission of our church. And, of course, we very joyfully welcome back Andrea after her much-deserved sabbatical, grateful for her time of renewal and proud of how our congregation continued to serve and grow during this time. There is just so much to be thankful for.
As we enter this season of Thanksgiving, keep Psalm 100 in your heart: Declare the goodness of God and come before him with thankfulness. Let us continue to “make a joyful noise” in all that we do together as a strong community of faith.
In Christ,
Jennifer

Last week the children all had a good time learning about the many ways saints, including them, can shine light. We read the story of God promising Abhram a great big family, more than stars in the sky, and created our own masterpieces of colorful starry skies.
Continuing with our theme of God’s promises, we will spend some time learning about Baby Moses and God’s promises to care for him even in a far away land. We are also looking forward to welcoming Rev Andrea back!
Believe it or not our Christmas Pageant is just around the corner! If your child is interested in being part of this beloved event, please contact Rev Allison. Littles and parents are encouraged to join as well!! Join the flock of shepherds, animals and angels, there is always room at the inn! Signups are live now until November 23rd.

Giving Back: Chapel on the Green – Sunday, November 9th
Saturday the 8th from about 1pm to roughly 4pm we will be making trays of ziti with meat sauce to serve as the hot meal at COG (Chapel on the Green). If any of your youth are interested in making the food we have plenty to do making about 18 lbs of pasta, probably 3 lbs at a time as well as sauce from scratch. Come for an hour or two or stay the whole time, completely up to your already busy schedules.
As the doors are usually locked, please email me before noon on Saturday if your youth is coming and about what time (hands will be messy after that and not really checking my phone emails) or call/text 203-470-2689 my cell.
Sunday Nov 9th. We have a Breakfast Sunday, but after eating, please have your youth gather in the library and Rebecca Merrick and Jessica O'Meara will be coordinating sandwich making (about 150 or so) if you haven't experienced youth production line sandwich making please feel free to stay and take pictures (send to Kim if you do) as it is quite a sight.
After that we will figure out who can make it to COG and the car pooling arrangements, Ziti will be cooking during Breakfast.
If you could also bring some sweet treat for 24 servings, cookies, brownies etc. homemade or store bought it would be great. Pre-bagged in sandwich bags of one or two to a bag would also be great but not completely necessary as we will bag them after sandwiches. The sandwiches are for a take away meal we provide the NH residents as well as the hot meal.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email/call or text.
COG is an easy/fun/safe way for the youth of Trinity to experience first hand a population of people that they may otherwise never really interact with. Typically the youth to adult ratio is about 1-1. This is a mission and outreach sponsored event open to all of Trinity that the Youth group supports annually, sometimes semi-annually depending on the dates available at Trinity New Haven.
Thank you!
With gratitude,
Noel Bellesheim & Frank LaBanca
