Having Fun at Coffee Hour after service?

Please join the Coffee Hour Crew to help with this great ministry. Talk to Karen Wojtowicz, Nancy Cole or Jeanne Benedict about training and how it works. We are also looking for a person to be an organizer and to participate in purchasing supplies.

Baking not required!

Join us for a Celebration of Earth Day by taking care of our slice of earth and picking up the litter that you see strewn on our roads. Meet at the Lion's club table at the Middle School to get our gear and instructions by 9:45-10:00. Wear your Trinity tee shirts if you have one!!

If you do not yet own a Trinity tee shirt, and would like to, Sharon Farrell will have the remaining supply available Saturday during the clean up. Contact her to arrange a pick-up time! (Tee shirts are $10 each.)

Little Pantry Meeting

It is time for a gathering of all the stockers of the Little Pantry. Let's get together and talk about our success this past year and what is new! We will meet Sunday, April 26th after service, in the library.

We welcome any new comers who would like to become a stocker and help our neighbors in need of food assistance.

Defibrillator Training

As part of the new Parish Nurse program Trinity has purchased a new Automated External Defibrillator. We are excited to have this technology on site.

Immediate CPR with the usage of an AED can double, or even triple survival rates.  This machine is meant to be used by anyone. We will be offering classes for training by a CPR Instructor. The next training will be offered on Sunday, May 3rd after service in the Johnson Library and will take about 15 minutes. Please join us!!

This Saturday, we have the opportunity to gather for a special screening of Communion, a deeply personal and musically rich film adapted from the popular live one-man show by performer and music educator Matthew LaBanca. Known for his powerful voice and expressive artistry, particularly on the Broadway stage, Matthew brings both his professional musical background and his life experience into this work, telling the story of a musician navigating faith, identity, and belonging in the church. Through storytelling and song, the film invites us into an honest reflection on our own faith and our welcome of others in our spiritual walk.

While the film invites us into personal and sometimes challenging experiences within the wider Christian tradition, our intention is to listen with open hearts to the power of music and creativity as a means of expression, healing, and connection. If we find ourselves stretched or challenged, we can trust that openness is often where grace does its most valuable work within us. Music has always given voice to our deepest emotions, and this screening offers a chance to engage those emotions in a reflective and compassionate way, holding space for unique perspectives while staying committed to our call to love one another. I hope you will join us in this powerful experience where I am certain we will all learn something new that will deepen our faith.

In Christ,

Jennifer

SAVE THE DATE!

Our annual WOMEN & CHILDREN'S CHOIR will be singing a special song in church on Sunday, May 10th (Mother's Day).

This is always a beautiful and fun experience. If interested, please plan to meet after worship this Sunday and next for a brief rehearsal. The song will be easy to learn!

May 1, 2, & 3: Reed Intermediate School’s production of “Willy Wonka Jr.” performs, starring Trinity’s own Nick Gibson as Mike TeeVee and music-directed by Trinity’ s music director Jennifer! Get your tickets here: https://risdrama.booktix.com/dept/RISDramaClub/e/Wonka

Last week in Church School, we explored what it means to live as Easter people. We discovered our hidden “Alleluias” and created signs of new life through handprint flowers. In the coming weeks, we’ll continue adding to our Church School bulletin board by tracing handprints and turning them into a colorful display of new life.

Looking ahead to this week, we will continue learning about how Jesus appeared to the early believers after his resurrection. As we read the story of the walk to Emmaus, we’ll reflect on the unexpected ways we might encounter Jesus. How might we hope to see or hear him? And when have we already recognized his presence in our lives?

We will also be painting small wooden crosses. Children can pick up their crosses after church on Sunday in the Church School room, where they will be left to dry.

Join us for a screening of Communion, a powerful and personal film about faith, identity, and belonging. After being fired from his Catholic school job for marrying his husband, a music teacher turns to art and storytelling to confront exclusion and rediscover hope. A live conversation will follow the screening.
