Defibrillator Training

As part of the new Parish Nurse program Trinity has purchased a new Automated External Defibrillator. We are excited to have this technology on site.

Immediate CPR with the usage of an AED can double, or even triple survival rates.  This machine is meant to be used by anyone. We will be offering classes for training by a CPR Instructor. The next training will be offered on Sunday, May 3rd after service in the Johnson Library and will take about 15 minutes. Please join us!!

Having Fun at Coffee Hour after service?

Please join the Coffee Hour Crew to help with this great ministry. Talk to Karen Wojtowicz, Nancy Cole or Jeanne Benedict about training and how it works. We are also looking for a person to be an organizer and to participate in purchasing supplies.

No baking or shopping required!

Successful Shredding Event at Trinity!

Thank you to everyone who participated. We noticed many members of the community taking advantage of this opportunity. It feels very rewarding to be a part of our neighborhood in this way and we believe this indicates how much the Pantry has become a part of our community.

Thanks to the Youth ministry and leaders who organized this with help from Mission & Outreach and Stewardship and Development. All cash proceeds exceeded our expectations and will go to help fill the Little Pantry. Supporting the pantry was the motivation for several people who generously donated. Close to $2,000 was raised!

We want to express our gratitude to the many re-stockers who participate in this rewarding ministry. Thanks to everyone who came to the meeting this last Sunday. We have a lot of new ideas and we are enthusiastic to move forward in helping our neighbors in need. Contact Sharon Farrell or Laurie Trotto or Nancy Cole to get involved.

Thank you to all the restocks who attend our annual meeting last Sunday. Great feedback and wonderful ideas! We welcome several new additions to the group and continue to welcome anyone who would like to join our team. The number of items needed continue to grow and we appreciate all the donations. This ministry could not exist without the generosity we receive from the congregation. We are very grateful for all the support and donations.

Calling all women and children! As we’ve done in years past, we’re getting together to sing a special song on Mother's Day during the morning service. The song is easy, and I’ll teach it to you after church this Sunday.

See you there!

Last week in Church School, we celebrated “new life” by painting crosses. These were beautiful reminders of the Risen God at work in our world today. Everyone had fun mixing colors and creating their own unique masterpieces!

Looking ahead, this week in Church School, we’ll explore the story of the early believers and what it means to be disciples today. We’ll spend time reflecting on how we are called to follow Jesus in our everyday lives.

We’ll also explore the idea of God’s power through a fun science experiment! Using cotton balls and water, children will discover how something small can hold much more than we might expect. Be sure to ask what happened in the experiment after church on Sunday! In addition, we’ll practice “road mapping,” reminding us that God guides us on our journey of faith.

A note about May 10th, we will be outside for Church School, weather permitting. We’ll gather as usual in the John Beach Classroom and then walk together to the memorial garden and gazebo area. Please ensure your child brings a jacket in case it’s chilly. We will return to the sanctuary in time for communion.

begun on Sunday mornings.

If you arrive after 9:45 on Sunday, please enter through the historic red doors on Main

Street. Please speak with Rev. Andrea if you have any questions.

Should you wish to make a donation to LL, please mail a check to First Congregational Church of Ridgefield (FCC), 103 Main Street, Ridgefield, Ct 06877. The memo line should read LLGD or click here.
