SPOTLIGHT ON INNOVATION
Rainbow Roundtable
Palm Beach County Library System

Palm Beach County Library System’s Rainbow Roundtable, a grassroots effort led by staff who identify as queer, ally, and/or many genders, seeks to increase LGBTQ+ representation within all aspects of library service. The committee places an emphasis on actionable changes — programming, promotional templates and resources and partnerships — to best serve queer communities and increase professional development opportunities. Since its launch in June 2021, the Rainbow Roundtable facilitated over 20 events with nearly 500 live and recorded views and forged partnerships with Compass, a local queer community center.
