Offering a Presidential Inauguration Virtual Book Display
Johnson County Library

In lieu of book displays that patrons normally find in the lobbies of Johnson County Library branches, staff created a Virtual Book Display highlighting the Presidential Inauguration 2021. Viewers can learn more about the role and responsibilities of the president and discover historical reading and viewing suggestions.
Focusing on Recovery, Equity and Community in 2021
Boston Public Library

BPL’s new 2021 programming initiative, Repairing America, will focus on economic and COVID-19 recovery, civic discourse, racial equity, workforce development and youth engagement. The theme of helping bridge gaps that divide America will drive library programming throughout the year. “We hope that patrons will find the Repairing America initiative and resources valuable and a trusted forum for dialogue and perhaps prompts for action,” said BPL President David Leonard.
Using Books to View Life from a Fresh Perspective
Markham Public Library

A new Book Healing initiative launched this week at Markham Public Library is geared towards helping individuals cope with mental health and emotional well-being. The goal is to provide access to new personalized reading lists that will help patrons counter the everyday struggles they face. 
REALM PROJECT UPDATE
Register for January 29 Webinar

With six rounds of lab testing and two scientific literature reviews completed, team members for the REALM Project will be providing an update on the latest results during a free webinar on January 29. Presenters will offer strategies implemented at their institutions and summarize what is known and unknown about the virus.
