20 Year Anniversary Celebration

Join us to celebrate Pastor Sigrid's 20th Anniversary with WCUCC this Sunday, August 7! We'll honor her during worship, and then celebrate with cake during fellowship time. We'll also provide a basket to receive your cards of congratulations. Plan to join us to thank Sigrid for her many years of dedicated ministry to our WCUCC church family.

Introducing WCUCC August Sermon Series

This month, we are taking you on a road trip to explore Biblical places where our faith ancestors met challenges and experienced our loving God. Each Sunday, we'll visit a holy location through scripture and sermons. Our God promises to be with us from the mountains to the seas, from the desert to the cities. Join us on our Holy Road Trip.

Consider Masking Up in Love

Given the increase in Covid cases and transmission rates, we strongly encourage members and guests to wear face masks during worship and in-person church meetings. We hope to protect the most vulnerable people in our congregation. There is a supply of medical face masks in the Narthex for those who wish to wear one.

Blessings for a New School Year - August 7

It is time for our annual Blessing of the Backpacks! This Sunday, we'll offer a special blessing for the children and adults headed into a new school year. We invite students of all ages, and adults who work in the school system, to bring their backpacks, briefcases, or bags to church. Join us for a prayer of blessing for safety, wisdom, and growth in the coming year.

Youth & Family Cookout

On Sunday, August 7, from 6-9 pm, our Director of Youth Ministry, Geoffrey Gear will host a cookout for families with kids of all ages! This is a great chance to have some fun with your child before school resumes and to mix and mingle with the other families and youth at WCUCC. Come out for fun, food, and games! Sign up here.

Adults: Start the School Year with Coffee and Friends

The Board of Outreach & Welcome invites members, friends, and neighbors to a Start of School Year Coffee on Friday, August 12, from 8 - 10 am. Adults sending children back to school are welcome to join us for coffee, juice, and treats. After your children head to school, enjoy fellowship as we share the many mixed emotions that come with this time of year. We'll have special treats for young children who tag along! We'll gather in front of the church or, in the case of inclement weather, we'll move to Fellowship Hall.

Blood Drive - August 18

The Mission Board is sponsoring a blood drive on Thursday, August 18 from 1 pm - 7 pm. Click here to sign up to give the gift of life.

Church Picnic &

Volleyball Tournament

On August 27, the Board of Parish Life will host our annual church picnic with a sand volleyball tournament at Hoff Woods Park. The fun will start at 4 pm and we'll eat at 6 pm.

Join the Men's Chorus
