Grief Support Group

Begins Tonight

From January 18 - March 15, Pastor Sigrid will be leading a Grief Support Group. The group will be using the book, Beyond the Broken Heart, which offers grief and bereavement support with encouragement, comfort, and hope to those dealing with the death of a loved one. The group will meet in room 120 at 6:30 pm.

Women's Lunch Resumes!

The Women's Lunch will resume tomorrow January 19 and will meet every third Thursday of the month. The first luncheon will be at Bucca di Beppo (location change) on Wilson Road at 12:30 pm. Senior Men's Lunch

Guys, please consider joining some of your other senior fellow church members when we meet tomorrow January 19 at Scrambler’s Restaurant on Sancus Blvd. If you are a senior gentleman (and you know if you are!) contact Jack Cashman to RSVP for the lunch at 11:30 am.

Women's Retreat

All women are invited to this year's retreat at Camp Christian on January 20-21 for an overnight of fellowship, sharing and learning of how to be hope in the darkness. Besides having a fun time, we will learn more about a serious issue which is not talked about very often, human trafficking. Our guest speaker is from She Has A Name. Cost is $20 per person. Launching Connection Groups

From softball teams & post-game parties to luncheon groups and campouts, life at WCUCC has always been rooted in strong Christian fellowship. In 2023, we hope to provide more opportunities for meaningful fun and relationship-building!

Pastor Susan is launching Connection Groups with support from the Board of Christian Education. You are invited to think about groups you’d like to start or join! Interested in Young Adult Fellowship, for example? What about a Card Club, Helping Hands Service group, or Senior Adult Ministry? Undoubtedly others share your interest and would eagerly be part of regular gatherings. Our staff and the Board of Christian Education are here to support you.

Join us for a Connection Groups brainstorming session on Sunday, January 29, at 11:30 am. We’ll share the vision for this model and brainstorm the groups you’re ready to launch. Let’s continue to practice our 40-year tradition of gathering in the spirit of joyful, Christian fun and learning. Contact Pastor Susan with questions.

Talent Show & Dessert February 11

Back by popular demand, our Valentine’s Talent Show & Dessert celebrates love with music, laughter, and lots of tasty treats. Please bring your favorite dessert to share and enjoy Valentine’s Fun with your WCUCC family! This “pitch-in” dessert event features our members in the biggest talent show of the year. All ages are welcome. Parish Life will provide coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Sign up here.

Vacation Bible Adventure

Mark your calendars for this year's Vacation Bible Adventure! It will be June 25 - July 1 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and kids ages 4 to rising 8th graders are invited to attend. Lots of volunteers are needed! Contact Joanna Bennett to volunteer or for questions.

Mission Trip 2023

This year's Mission Trip will be July 16-22 and we will be partnering with Appalachia Service Project to help rural communities in need. We will know our mission location in April, but expect either West Virginia or Kentucky. All rising high school freshmen and older are invited. Begin the registration process by clicking here!
