One Great Hour of Sharing
This Sunday, March 26, our Mission Board will take an offering for One Great Hour of Sharing, one of four special mission offerings of the United Church of Christ. This Lenten Offering supports the disaster, refugee, and development ministries of the United Church of Christ within Wider Church Ministries. Holy Week & Easter at WCUCC | |
Palm Sunday Worship
Together we will celebrate Jesus’ triumphal return to Jerusalem! As shared in the Gospel of Matthew, people gathered to welcome Jesus into the city, placing leaves and cloaks on his path to prepare his way. Just as they did on that day, we look forward to shouting, “Hosanna in the highest heaven!” (Matthew 21:9). Children are invited to join in the palm parade. Worship with us in-person or online at 10 am on April 2.

Maundy Thursday Worship
On the night he was betrayed, Jesus broke bread and shared wine, symbolizing his love and sacrifice. In remembrance of that night, we invite you to a very special service in Fellowship Hall at 6:30 pm on April 6. We will imagine ourselves as part of the story by partaking in a light, ceremonial meal, worshiping in word and song, and practicing sacred traditions. Click here to sign up. Good Friday Worship
Gather with us for this sacred evening of worship, when we'll recall Jesus' final hours. We'll be reminded that his crucifixion was not in vain, and that love reigned even in the world's darkest moment.
In this Taizé service, the sanctuary lights will gradually dim as we share in the sorrow of the story. Join us at 7:00 pm in-person or online.

Easter Egg Hunt
Parish Life will host the annual WCUCC Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday, April 9, at 9:15 am. Kids can bring their own baskets, or a bag will be provided. Weather permitting, the event will take place outside on the church lawn. There will be three sections: children in grades K-2, grades 3-5, and another for the little ones in preschool and younger. Following the hunt, all children will receive a goodie bag to take home!

Nature Hike - April 16
The Board of Parish Life invites you to the 2nd annual Celebration of Spring hike! We will meet on Sunday, April 16, at 1:00 PM at the Highbanks Metro Park Nature Center. Highbanks boasts two ADA-accessible trails, some great natural play areas for children, and even a terrific trail for dog walking. Celebrate spring with your friends at WCUCC!

Progressive Dinner
April 22
Parish Life is sponsoring our annual Progressive Dinner on Saturday, April 22, from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. Please sign up here to host the appetizer or main course or to bring an appetizer, main course side, or a dessert. Cost is $10 per person. Hosts will be reimbursed. This is always a fun night and a great way to meet people.

Spring Paint Party
The Board of Parish Life invites you to a Spring Paint Party on April 28 at 6:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. All materials will be provided. Bring a snack or appetizer to share and BYOB. Cost is $30.

Summer Camp Opportunities
Mark your calendars for summer camp opportunities at Dunkirk Family Camp and Templed Hills, our Heartland Conference UCC camp. Family Camp 1 will be held July 9-15 at Dunkirk Camp and Conference Center in New York, led by Rev. David Long-Higgins. Templed Hills offers camps for children, youth & families, including a Grandparents Camp. All WCUCC members can receive up to a $100 scholarship to attend a Dunkirk or Templed Hills camp. Additional discounts are available from the Heartland Conference & Dunkirk. Stop at the camp table in the Fellowship Hall for more information.
