On the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, notable historians, curators, and leaders will cover aspects of the social movements of the early 20th Century and their relevance today. 2021 topics include Fake News, the Arc of Suffrage, and much more!

Ellen & Edith at the National Portrait Gallery
A new exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery features portraits of both Ellen Axson Wilson and Edith Bolling Wilson as well as our own Vonnoh portrait of Ellen and the Wilson daughters. Every Eye Is Upon Me: First Ladies of the United States, opening Nov. 13, 2020, is the first major exhibition to explore the historical significance of this prominent position through the mode of portraiture. The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the White House and the National First Ladies’ Library, will span nearly 250 years, from Martha Washington to Melania Trump. Featuring more than 60 portraits of the first ladies and those who undertook the role of White House hostess.
