This past week, another devastating quake occurred, inflicting more damage and loss of life. A Very Special Entr'acte - Children's Spiritual Formation at the Advent: On Trinity Sunday, May 31, Emily Litman will present a special Entr'acte at approximately 10:15 am in the Library to demonstrate the method of spiritual formation we use with our children at the Advent. The ancient tradition of storytelling has been used for thousands of years to pass on traditions and capture children's imaginations. Using a storytelling method called "Godly Play," Bible stories come alive in our Church School - our kids don't just hear the stories, they are engaged visually and physically. Each week, our children and their teachers enter into a story and become part of it. Under Emily's direction, we have used this method for several years to great success at the Advent, and members of the parish not directly involved in Church School are urged to take advantage of this special opportunity to learn about the wonderful things taking place upstairs every Sunday.
